Even with the so-called announcement by Alat, some people did testify that they made attempts at payments with their naira card, but were not successful. Read their comments up there!

But you claimed there was no official announcement. Why are you deflecting.

Even before Alat's announcement we already got a hint 2 days before.

Use another commercial bank to transfer to Wema bank, opay/fintechs not recommended.

My experiment/update:

I created the virtual card on Wema Bank app and I was charged N500.

I now went ahead to use the virtual card created on the Wema Bank App to make purchase of $5.32, it successfully went through instantly and I was debited N5,025.12

This means 944.57 per dollar. Costlier but more secure transaction, no deposit & no unnecessary hidden charges.
I will stick with chipper cash for now... 850 and no hidden charges!

You're lucky that you've not made the transfer. In May, my money was hanging for over 5 days before it finally dropped on Klasha wallet.

Hello, my Ogas.
I intend creating a virtual card on Bitmama and funding it with $40+, but it's displaying this message. What could be wrong?

Kindly explain the charges I'm seeing while trying to fund my card in the picture below.. Thanks

kayus621:
Bitnob is the second gotok, you can find it with crypto or bank transfer, When you create a card you'll be charged 1$
now let me explain the two funding method.

Funding using crypto
When you fund using crypto. Let's say you're using binance or any exchange to send crypto to your bitnob , binance or the exchange you're using would charge you 1$ everytime you try to fund your bitnob irrespective of how much you're sending. When it gets to your bitnob wallet you'll have use it to fund your card, you'll be charged another 1$ for funding your card, that's a total of 2$ charge everytime you try to fund your card

Funding using bank transfer
I prefer this method because
1. It's does not require crypto knowledge
2. Funding fee is just #100+( I was charged 166 naira when I funded with 10$, unlike binance that will charge you 1$=800+)
3. After funding your wallet with bank transfer, you'll have to use the funded amount to fund your card, at this point you'll be charged 1$ for funding your card, but I wasn't charged when I funded my card so I guess this only applies to the crypto funding method
So I use this method to fund everytime because it's cheaper simpler and stress free
Thier rate as of today is 822/$, there's no monthly maintenance fee or hidden charges only card creation fee which is 1$.

Let's use this b4 them cast am, I know our local banks are now coming back so choose your devil wisely.

Download the app from playstore or app store,Register and use my invite code "kayus621" to receive 2000 Satoshi.
Satoshi is a unit of Bitcoin, just like cent is a unit of dollar. You can use it to buy stuff or withdraw it.

Please help yourself with these explanation, hope it helps

Yes, I have enough money there.
I have $48.25 and I clicked on 'Max'. So, it deducted a few charges and it remains $48.09 or so.

Modified: I tried it again just now and it is successful. It's now in "Processing" stage.
Thank you, boss.
Re: This Thread Is Only For Aliexpress Shopper by OlodoGraduate: 3:55pm On Jul 18, 2023
I'm sad with my experience on Bitmama just now.
I used the "MAX" feature to fund my account and it says it'd pay me $48.09 out of the original $48.25. That's understandable.
Upon card creation, I was only credited $30. I checked my USDT wallet and I still had $16.67.
I tried funding the card with the remaining USDT wallet. It kept on saying "Insufficient Balance".
I chatted Customer Care and she's telling me to fund only $14.
What I even wanted to buy is $45. 😟
I tried funding bit by bit if it would allow me access to my full money. I tried $8 first, but guess what? Another $1 was deducted for card creation. Isn't it supposed to be a one-time fee till the card expires? 🤔😐
Now, I'm just confused.
My USDT is now $7.67 and I can't even achieve my aim of creating the card.

These fintech is just finessing us out of our lean funds sad

Any reason why they won't allow a total of 45USD to be created at once? Damn.

Sorry about the difficulties, but the problem is from your side! 1st card creation is free, but subsequent ones attract $1/Card. So you must have mistakenly clicked on "create a new card" on your current card page. That's why you were charged $1 for card creation. This also accounts for the multiple charges you saw ( you were charged for funding both the 1st and the 2nd card, which is 1.5% each of the funding amount)

Here's what you should have done: after creating the first card and funding it with usd, click on the dollar card, and you would be asked to enter your pin to enable you see the card details. Then the card number, Expiry date, Security and funding amount would be displayed for you to use for your transaction purposes. This also includes card owner's name. But you clicked on "create a new card" and went ahead to fund it as well. Invariably, you have 2 usd cards now wirh them.

Do a check very well to verify my statement. I've been using the platform for over a month now, and I've never had any regret.

I regretted many of the choice products I bought. Na only 1 digital scale like that I dey enjoy.
Olamak1:

Choice products are real, with superb price reduction on them. But as attractive as they are, they have hidden caveat attached. That is, in the event of an item not conforming to description, and you decide to file for dispute, you'd be required to return the item before you could be granted a refund.
So, if you must buy these products, make sure you choose wisely.

Thanks for your input, boss.
I was very careful not to make any mistake.
In fact, I have checked the "Virtual Cards" section and I have a single card there.

Now, I've funded my USDT wallet with $5+.
I now have $13.46
I requested to fund my Dollar card with just $13 and it's saying Insufficient Balance.

I think it's network glitch. Chat them up, they'd proffer solution to it.

It's important to get a decent product to avoid grief in the future. I got a few of the metal ones from AliExpress but they are extremely slow although somewhat reliable.
One dollar is almost 850 naira now so it now makes more sense to get an original SanDisk here in Nigeria but if you have coupons to defray the cost then look for original SanDisk on AliExpress.Do bear in mind that economizing on memory products is rarely worth it.

I just got a notification from Klasha this morning saying the pink card is undergoing maintenance.
This is barely days after bringing back the black card with all the crazy charges they added to it. It feels like they deactivated the existing pink card to force people to switch to the crazy black card. They even wiped the small dollar I have on the card.
Klasha is dead to me.
