Emphasis on passive income. It was a good choice.

Although actions like this is the reason the dollar keeps going up. Imagine 1,000 other people buying dollars, just to keep. demand will keep increasing and naira will keep crashing against the dollar and our economy continues to get hurt.

grin for Naija wey we dey nobody send each other. Whatever you can do to multiply your money is a welcome development.

Your investment makes sense...and the sense is selling it at the right time....and not overstating the profit....saying your profit is 500k is overstating it....

And hope you know some banks naira card now works for foreign payment
...wema 500$
Sterling Bank 1000$

I'm not wrong. Someone who bought a land for 1.9m in 2018 if in a strategic location can sell it much higher than 4.2m today.

However you look at it, whatever product you decide to use as an example, you arrive at the same result.

How much was a plot of land selling in your area in 2018? How much is it now?

Again, only idiots put money in bank accounts. I don't know why you guys keep bringing that up as if its evidence of anything.

I'm not asking you not to buy dollar and keep, I'm just letting you know you're not actually making money if you have to convert it to naira to spend. The money you think you have made is just paper money. All you did is keep up with inflation

End of discussion

You re pained and bitter. grin grin cheesy

More screenshot of heavy money sitting in my bank account will be posted on this thread soon

Wrong.

Keeping money in naira denominated assets is not the same as keeping naira in the bank. A share of Zenith bank was less than 15 naira in 2020. Last I checked, it was 34 naira. Not to mention the dividends that would have accrued.

Na u dey add the grammar o.
Even d naira dominated assets that can't surpass Inflation is as good as zero interest. Then if u are unlucky and the shares goes south, what will u say?
Govt bonds are the safest and they yield about 12% yearly at best. But this is Someone who has made 500k on a 4m investment in 2months, that more than 10% in two months. That shouldn't be compared with any other cash based investment.

2. Buy a fast moving product from China, sell for double or even tripple of your buying cost on Jumia.

I bought that shares when it was in the public market when it was #12.80k many years ago... In two years it rose to 64naira or thereabout and I quickly sold them off.

Stock business is not for children neither is it for greedy people... Once you hit a particular margin cashout and look for another venture

Selling now wouldn't make sense, I want to accumulate as much as #1 million naira before I sell. I have done my analysis and projections.

As for the bank cards its cool if they are actually working now. It cant be compared to wired transfers, most people will want to do large volume transaction. Card is limited

Lolz...which one u dey talk 2018 2018? Is it 2018 that he bought his dollars? Abi don't u know how much dollars was in 2018? Convert from that time na.
Any other investment u do, u will still convert it to naira to spend.

The LCM of all this is it's better he saved his money in dollars rather than naira.
Alot of people save in naira and it's not foolishness like u r trying to make it look. At least u will still have your money in your account anytime u need it.
The money he has made is passive income as he didn't lift a finger or make any trading to achieve it.
it shouldn't be compared with trading or buying assets with the money.

It is quite avoidable, you can put in PMS deliveries contract that hedges against exchange rate volatility, but doing the right thing means avenue for massive corruption in the upstream and downstream sectors would be blocked... so they keep fooling us with the current dollar naira exchange rate.
The same set of economic assassins that have frustrated all efforts to ensure the Nations refineries are working are the ones pushing for higher prices of PMS, while cashing out big time.
I will recommend for reading Den of Thieves to understand more on the Derivatives Market.

You have a point. But I really don't know how you want this "PMS deliveries contract" to work since government no longer have a hand in importation and distribution of fuel. By and large, corruption put us in this mess.

The only way out is for us to stop importing fuel; If crude oil is purchased locally and refined locally, all transactions done in Niara, only then we can talk of stability in our pricing system. But we still have a long way to go from achieving that For now, as long as the Naira continues to be on a free fall and the oil prices keep rising, nothing can save us from further fuel price increase except subsidy returns.

The problem with you is that you don't read to understand. You read to argue.

Example 1. Someone asked me what business he would have done to generate more than 500k in 6 weeks, I responded only for you to say they are not passive investments. You didn't read to understand

2. I have consistently said a lot of stocks have returned more money within the last 6 weeks around the same time he bought the dollars. You say I keep mentioning 2018. Again, you did not read to understand.

Stocks, real estate, buying dollars are all passive investments. I can't even believe we are debating this.

The summary of the whole thing is that, he has kept up with inflation which is not a bad thing but he has not made money.

And saving money in the bank is foolishness. If you do it then you're foolish. I have no apologies. The only money you should have in the bank is what you use for your day to day expenses. Keep spare funds in mutual funds for rainy days. Most Mutual funds pay within 24 hours. Mansard used to pay within one hour until recently.

If you must quote me, I plead with you to at least understand what you're responding to.

I know very well. It’s my truth and I’ll come for him with facts. I’ll dignify him by answering his questions without shying away. Let him do the same… all I have thrown at him, he can never deny it. I still have the audio and I stand by my word of sending it to you. This dude need help, no sugar coating. How can one person be filled with such evil nd still come online to rubbish people while in reality even to see money to buy food is problem for him. Why does he really stand to him by building castles online and scamming people. I honestly can’t stand fake people. I stopped feeding from my parents willingly at 17. The last time I was broke without a penny should be 2010 and I still had 12k. Felicity should get a life. Even if it is one room, I’ll help him pay part of the rent.
