I understand that elements in the police are saying that regular patrols will be reduced due to the escalating cost of running their ops vehicles. Inflation is almost eclipsed the entire economy and is seeping like the much sought after cheap gasoline into unknown areas where it will meet with naked flames....

Actually, reintroduction of fuel subsidy is a simple matter of policy.

The subsidy was actually the price that Nigeria's political elite had to pay for bastardizing the downstream sector of Nigeria's petroleum sector.

The hypocritical Tinubu protested against removal of the subsidy when Jonathan did it at a time when the economy was still relatively strong enough to absorb the impact.

Now he stupidly thinks that the removal of subsidy can work after APC has spent the last 8 years destroying the economy, destroying the value of the naira and massively increasing Nigeria's foreign debt portfolio.

EscoBAT is learning that running a country is not the same as running a criminal enterprise.

Fugazy2023:
Fuel subsidy is gone and gone for good. Even if you remove Tinubu which is not possible, Atiku or Obi will still not bring it back and the prices would still be determined by market forces. Either ways, nothing changes regardless of who is in power with respect to Subsidy removal. Next

SOSinNigeria:
Daily times is a poor newspaper. I can tell you that virtually all they wrote here is based on assumptions. Everyone knows the situation in Nigeria. So, they create stories based on their assumptions and add fictitious characters to it.

Meanwhile, Tinubu has destroyed Nigeria's economy in less than 2 months. Millions of jobs lost and tens of thousands of SME's closing down everyday. Poverty is spiking at all time high while consumer spending power is zero.

An irresponsible man has no business being a president!
A man with wealth without enterprise. No factory, office, industry etc. Folks called him financial wizkid, all because he governed a state, former capital with the population, buildings etc, a goldmine for taxation. He became rich taking a heavy cut, still placed debt on the state.
Someone that has never worked out real money ie sold a product and made gain ie turned 1k today to 2k tomorrow. The only experience is easy money from tax or rather extortion.
How then do you expect him to manage 200m people when there is no further avenue to tax them? The threshold for taxation has already been reached.
Now the whole economy is being destroyed, sinking 90% of Nigerians into poverty.
Anyway, maybe one day, we will have sense.

Those who are saying subsidy kills d economy should know that government officials will always find new ways of killing d economy. It better to leave subsidy cos our government isn't responsible like other nations

Leave them o
Some continue cheering while most are now wailing.

Nightwolf1:
In the heat of presidential campaigns, Tinubu was in Delta state. As he was reading out his campaign promises to his audience, he made a detour and asked the audience, " Na Statistics We Go Chop" ?

Apparently, he was directly attacking another presidential candidate whom we all knew was hell bent on using statistics to give Nigerians a glimpse of what his administration would look like if elected President.

If a presidential candidate does not know the importance of statistics in the economic lifestyle of a Nation, how does he intend to solve the problems besieging the people?

Those who cheered and clapped thunderously while Tinubu was denigrating the essence of economic tabulation and importance then should have their faces covered in shame today.

Have we gone from bad to good as it stands now without statistical analysis and data?

I leave judgement for you all.

Nigerians should switch to CNG and LPG vehicles. Good thing that Innoson vehicles have start mass production of such vehicles.
Change, they say,is constant in life.Back in the days, there was a period we were heavily reliant on kerosene to do our cooking. Now,how many household make use of kerosene?A large number of household in Nigeria now make use of gas for their cooking.Nigerians should adapt likewise.

Leave Nigerian alone they can complain for Africa. An average Nigerian will tell you Nigeria has not done anything for me. Imagine someone buying fuel @65 /97/165 complaining . A university student will pay 100k For BSc will still open his mouth to complain.
Government has remove subsidy for both Education and PMS everyone is complaining .

You never appreciate what you’ve until you loose it. I still believe things we get better . If i can survive Emifiele for two months grin this one is child’s play at least I’m not buying money with money. And I’ve access to my money.

How do you know that d pain is going to last 9ne year?
