The rush no just make sense . They should at least let the government finalize the modalities of the student loan before schools start increasing fees . The education bank they want to set up is not even up and running yet, there’s still a whole lot to be done; so why the rush ?

I just hope students would not have dropped out before the government comes up with the whole loan thingy .

I knew this question was coming..
There was a time in Nigerian Uni, they were given free food, 2 people per room after graduation ready job plus official car
There was a time Nigeria was visa free to many countries in the world
I also did not enjoy all these since every generation deal with the challenges of their times
People adjust to realities of their times. This is the current reality
There are things your ancestors enjoyed that you wont and there are things you enjoyed that your children wont. And vice versa too

If this kinda astronomical increment in school fees, general rise in price of commodities, reduction in ur sponsors' disposable income , over 300% increase in fuel price ,etc had al happened while u were in OAU ; I doubt u would've graduated as a Chemical Engineer.
