Big hero 6 won 5 awards at the visual effects society awards grin

Outside of the MCU

Spiderman 2 won best visual effects at the Oscars,Saturn awards and 3 awards at the visual effects society awards.

X men:DOFP got nominated for best visual effects at the Oscars, British academy awards,AACTA awards and won 2 awards at the visual effects society awards.

Into the Spider verse won 4 Visual effects society awards.

You've got this, bro. I was about to contribute, but I'll step aside and let you roast the fóol in peace. He's making a lot of claims and inferences right now without any supporting data or evidence what so ever, which is a glaring example of how irrational DC retàrds can be.

The Oscars and other accolades should no longer be used as a point of comparison because they do not support DC in this situation. In one of our previous arguments, when he brought up the Oscars and Emmys, I chose to walk away rather than try to condense so much fôolishness into one post.

Lol, of course you'd win since you have the numerical advantage. I don't need to state the Oscars bias towards DC, it's well known. If not for The Dark Knight, Black Panther and other Superhero films wouldn't have any hope in getting nominated for Best Picture talk more of winning it.

In the list of movies, I didn't have the time or wanted to risk getting banned by the bot hence my reluctance...
These movies have gotten best VFX nominations at the Oscars: 👇
Superman (1978) [won]
Batman Returns (1992)
Superman Returns (2006)
The Dark Knight (2008)
The Batman (2022)

Wonder Woman 1 and 1984 both have nominations at Visual Effects Society.

Man of Steel was nominated for best VFX in Annie Awards. MOS also has best VFX at Saturn Awards. Alongside 2 VFX categories at the Visual Effects Society Awards.

TSS and Peacemaker has noms in Annie awards.
Wonder Woman and 1984 gets noms for best VFX at Critics Choice Awards.

Birds of Prey has Best Special VFX nomination in Saturn Awards.

Aquaman has 2 noms, Black Adam 1 nom, and TSS has 2 noms at the Visual Effects Society Awards.

I don't want to compare The Batman VFX work cos it's wipes the floor with all you can think up in the last 4 years.

Basically, your advantage in the sheer numbers of productions.
This shows you DC has consistently been up for Best VFX Awards in the last 4 decades, which same can't be said for marvel until recently.

It's good that you're bringing up the Oscars and Emmys once more. Are they no longer biased towards DC in those cases? This is the obvious expression of stupidity I was talking about earlier: claiming that the awards are biased because the MCU wins in a particular category while DC wins in other categories. Sit this one out and stop making noise; the MCU takes the cake here.

Lol, two things can be right at the same time. grin grin
Me saying DC gets biased on by award bodies doesn't mean they won't win on some occasions.
It means it could have been more.
Go read up on how The Dark Knight getting snubbed changed how the Academy picks nominees.

If I remember correctly, I wasn't the one who brought up awards into the conversation. I was merely talking about visual imagery from the standpoint of actually watching the films myself and my perception of general audience consensus.

Go rest... Y'all were the one posting receipts about Awards. I just asked for the important ones. grin grin

DC has been consistent yet Marvel movies have been nominated 17 times at the Oscars for best visual effects compared to DC 5 grin

MCU movies alone have 10 wins and 53 nominations at the visual effects society awards compared to DCEU 8 nominations and 0 wins grin make I no even check Marvel movies outside of the MCU.

Let me continue from where I stopped grin
MCU movies
Iron Man 1 & 2,CA:First Avenger,The Avengers,Thor DW,CA:Winter Soldier,GOTG V1 & 2,Age Of Ultron,Dr Strange, Black Panther, Endgame,FFH,NWH,Multiverse of Madness,Shang Chi have all gotten nominated for best visual effects at the Saturn Awards.

Outside of the MCU
X men 1,2 & 3, Spiderman 1,2 & 3,Hulk have gotten nominations at the Saturn awards for best visual effects

Marvel movies have won 4 Saturn awards for best visual effects compared to DC 2 awards grin.

Critics Choice Awards
Marvel have 9 nominations and 2 wins for best visual effects while DC have just 4 nominations and 0 wins grin

You can't make this shit up, premium ass whooping grin

Throwing tantrums before even claiming the victory is such an "abduleez" thing to do. Remember that the Little Mermaid cost $250 million to make. Even if you were to disregard its estimated $140 million marketing budget and multiply the production budget by 2.5 or 3, you would still have a break-even point of $625 million or $750 million. Depending on how they negotiate, the little mermaid must reach $780–$800 million in order to turn a profit. It will never be successful because of this.

Disney is the only company capable of the level of sheer stupidity displayed by spending an estimated $390–400 million on a woke remake when a sizable portion of box office contributors are conservatives or leaning in that direction. Anyone who is familiar with the figures utilized in the production of this film is aware that it is a poor business decision. If they don't spend reasonably on that new off white and the seven diversity hires they are making, the same thing will happen to them once more.

As a neutral observer who dislikes Superhero movies and only manage to watch some of them when I'm deeply bored with nothing to do, I really don't see how you can compare DC's cgi to marvel.

The cgi for Batman v Superman looks like it was done by interns for God's sake. Then talk about Justice League 😂😂

Marvel used to quite good but recently their cgi has also become bad. However their legacy gives them the edge over DCEU that has never done anything good except Aquaman.

Kaycee7 is actually a clown for diving right in to deliver a stûpid take without pausing to look up the numbers we're using here, all because he wants to pick on someone. Disney may have lost between $100 and 113 million on the project. It flopped, end of story.

Minority Report.....9/10

Synopsis:
Based on a story by famed science fiction writer Philip K. Dick, "Minority Report" is an action-detective thriller set in Washington D.C. in 2054, where police utilize a psychic technology (called precogs) to arrest and convict murderers before they commit their crime. Tom Cruise plays the head of this Precrime unit and is himself accused of the future murder of a man he hasn't even met.

This movie has many themes and questions. It questions how justiciable it is to punish people for a crime they have yet to commit. How do you punish people for a crime they haven't committed yet?

It raises questions on Predestination/Fate V Free Will

Incidentally I've been on an argument with a friend about this same Fate V Free Will for some days now...

Anyway the movie questions whether humans are bound to their fate to commit murders or whether they can choose to make a different choice. Are we slaves to our fate or do we have free will...
Are events set in stone or can we change them?

However, here is what I noticed...
While characters in the movie always talk about having a choice...and how it ended up with a character choosing a different date...
But the characters did so because they already knew their fate.
If they didn't know they were fated to do an action, would they avoid it?

Does this mean that we can only avoid predestination only if we get a glimpse of the future and what we're supposed to do?

And if you change the future by making a different choice, doesn't that mean that the different choice you made is in reality what was predestined?

There is also the theme of how fallible every so-called infallible system is. How no matter how tightproof every system looks, there is always bound to be human error or human factor. Humans are not perfect, they will never be perfect. Humans are flawed by nature and will always seem to find a loophole...it could be said that humans are the loophole itself...

And we could see that in the movie itself, how someone chose to exploit the system.

The ending also sparks a debate as to the system and it's merits and demerits. With the precog system gone, murders will increase again...and you will be left wondering if the precog wasn't a necessary evil

For criticisms---
Not too much of a fan of the ending...
And I think it did have some plot conveniences...like how easy it seems to get past security and access the precogs...
A system like that definitely needs better security if it was meant to hold the nation
