Odessa is historically a part of Russia, so I don't think Russia will let Ukraine keep Odessa, Odessa is a part of the SMO.
Even just for security reasons alone, Russia can't let Ukraine keep Odessa.

Imagine you have a cousin and he's also your neighbour, you give him a part of your backyard (in which some of your children continue to live) to help him and then after some time he starts to hate you with passion and he maltreats your children and he goes to invite your sworn ennemy (whom is obsessed with killing you) into that backyard and permanently.
