But I think those votes went to Obi because those voters no longer saw PDP as a viable option. And the reason for that is Wike who weakened PDP with his negative vibes.
Remove Wike and his outbursts and PDP machinery in those states won't be so weak that Obi will eat into their territory.

That's not true. Obi, LP and the Christian leaders successfully convinced those PDP voters that God has 'DESTINED' Obi to win the elections. This is why ALL those PDP votes went to him. Those voters REALLY thought Obi had it in the bag. They were wrong. All those voters did was ensured the election of Bola Tinubu.

Yes, the church leaders successfully convinced their members that Obi was destined by God to win the elections. The vast majority of Obi's votes came from Christians. Even in the North, Obi's votes came from Christian votes. That's why his votes went down as you moved towards the far North.

Who are the church leaders? None of the major churches with the biggest congregations endorsed nor prophesied victory for him? The big orthodox and Pentecostal churches did not endorse him. That's the fact.
If course he got more Christian votes because he was the only Christian out of the four Frontline candidates, and after 8 years of a bigoted Muslim, with the ruling party fielding a Muslim-Muslim ticket, most Christians will be sympathetic towards voting for the only Christian. Just as a good number of Muslims especially the North Central Muslims tilted towards Tinubu because of his Muslim-Muslim ticket.
But that's not because of any pastor's endorsement. Take a state like Plateau with overwhelming Catholic population who have suffered attacks, they don't need a pastor to tell them to vote for Obi because the alternative to APC is another Fulani man. Same with Southern Kd.

Are your aware the CAN chairman of Lagos State endorsed Tinubu?
Are you aware the CAN chair of Oyo also did too? Tinubu won Ondo, Ekiti, Rivers, Benue according to official records and this are states with clear Christian majority.
Meanwhile, so many Islamic sects and councils of Imam endorsed Tinubu as well. But you have not attributed Tinubu's votes to those endorsements.
Like I said, the biggest churches in Nigeria are Catholic, Redeemed, Anglican, Methodist, Winners, White garment. None of the above came out to endorse Obi.
If Wike was not going about demarketing PDP, most voters would not have tilted towards Obi.
