Debbieeeeeee:
Interview Waiver (IW) Qualifications

Applicant must possess a full-validity multiple entry visa that expired no more than 48 months ago or it will expire within the next 3 months.

Applicant must be applying for a visa in the same visa classification as the expired/expiring visa.

Applicant must be a citizen or resident of Nigeria.

Applicant must be physically present in Nigeria.

Applicant must dissociate all dependents from their profile and apply for each dependent separately if qualified.

Applicant must not have been refused a visa since the issuance of the previous visa or had a visa revoked or have ever required a waiver.

Applicant must possess all issued passports covering the entire period since receiving the previous visa and the passport with the most recent visa.

Applicant has never been arrested or convicted of any crime or offense in the United States, even if the applicant has later received a waiver or pardon.

Applicant has never worked without authorization or remained beyond their permitted time in the United States.

Applicant (if under 18) meets all the above qualifications. If a parent is not scheduled on the same day, minor must be able to submit a copy of their parent’s valid visa page or copies of their parent’s appointment letters and DS-160

In your submission for a B1/B2 visa, you must include the following documents. (Please do not include any documents not listed):
This letter.
A passport containing the expired non-immigrant visa (if that passport is expired, a current valid passport is also required).
DS-160 confirmation page. Must be completed or updated within the last six months and must be uploaded to your application profile.
One (1) 5x5 cm color photographs with a white background, taken no more than six (6) months ago and without glasses. (Do not reuse your photo from a previous application)
Minors (under 18) – photocopy of parent(s)’ valid visas unless parents are also applying for IW at the same time.

Application Process
If you apply for a visa renewal without an interview, you must electronically complete all visa application forms. Detailed instructions concerning the nonimmigrant visa application process are located at https://www.ustraveldocs.com/ng.

Family Applications
If more than one member of an immediate family (defined as a spouse and/or child(ren under 18) will be applying at the same time, only one applying spouse/parent must appear in-person to submit the applications. If applying solely for a child(ren) under 18, one parent of the applying child(ren) must appear in person to submit the application(s) for the child(ren) - the child(ren) do not need to be present.

In-Person Application Requirement
Outside of the accommodations for immediate family applications (see above), each applicant must apply in-person.

In-Person Interview May Be Required
Any applicant who submits an incomplete or unqualified application, or where potentially derogatory information is found will be asked to schedule an in-person interview.

Processing Time – 2 Months
Application processing time is two months from date of application. Processing times are updated at https://ng.usembassy.gov/visas/nonimmigrant-visas. We cannot return a passport during processing; therefore, do not apply for a visa renewal without an interview if you might need your passport for any purpose during the processing period.

Reading this again I did several things wrong
1. I didn’t qualify for IW as my visa was yet to expire and more than 3 months validity
2. I had my dependent on the same IW appointment as I couldn’t figure out how to get Her a separate appointment even though She qualified for the IW
3. I used my previous passport photograph on the DS 160 form even though I submitted a different one for myself and my daughter
Re: USA Visit Visa Part 4 by Csteven926: 8:38am On Jul 22, 2023
Please note no additional document was asked aside from DS-160 form, International Passport, Passport Photograph and Resident Card (BRP)

My advice to you will be to schedule your appointment for after you return from your trip. Go on your trip then return to renew your visa. All the best!

Have you ever been refused visa, yes. It doesn’t affect the outcome don’t worry. You’re assessed based on your present situation.

The US visa is an entry document that allows you in to the country before the date of expiry, i.e. you can ENTER the country as long as the visa is valid.

So, if you visa expires August 3 and you enter August 1, you can still be in the country for 6 months. It does not affect your ability to leave the country.

Please what do I do to update my application if I reschedule my interview appointment? Someone changed their appointment to earlier date but was not allowed in at the embassy. What did he do wrong? Please advise as I want to reschedule to an earlier date. Thanks a bunch

No, he booked himself, but decided to reschedule and got an earlier date, but when he got to the embassy he was told that the code was different. I think he was supposed to update his profile or so before going for the interview. Ii just want to know how to go about it in case I get an earlier date. My date now 8s November 4th 2024, but I check every day to see if I will get early date. Thanks

Are you normal being a vagabond? Regardless

Please stop the vitriol.
Your last two comments are not only condescending, but grammatically flawed. Same thing you accuse someone of.
You can make your opinion about anyone’s post without being offensive.
Everyone else has been doing so with no difficulty.

Your reply doesn't show you are a potential visitor to u.s.a.
Pointing the fact you are living in a country where your residency is mere education. Your Ties is limited and your application was rejected for that
Why did you choose Lithuania?
After my graduation from xyz University with bsc in xyz, I research through the curriculum offered by xyz uni in Lithuania and is among the modules I intend doing research works during my masters thesis. Lithuania is a great nation with vast economic growth thus, I intend gathering enough experience from my studies here

How long have you been here?
Masters degree are 2 years max. So been in a country for over 5 years ring's a bell. Why haven't you gone home since then? What have u been doing other than schooling?

Think before you reapply.

Maybe you should read the post again..not sure where you got 5 years from...

As pointed out by others, your criticism can be better constructed
