Abigbo:Single traveller or couple? That's a little less than 40k Rands so it should be good for a single traveller on 2 weeks hol if flight cost is out of it actually. Honestly, I think it depends on the official reviewing the application, some are just sadists ![]() Good luck. |

hunee:Looking like they are on mission to just punish some of us. I applied on the 12th with a certified bank statements and PDF clearer version there was no problem they rejected because of yellow certificates. Re applied following week with the same bank certified statements and recent re downloaded statements to show closing balance with enough sufficient Fund and business accounts all certified and yellow certificates. Now they rejected that the bank statements are invalid. Their e visa service is really really poor. Be like say dem go hold their visa na my money I won go spend. I am re routing to another country. Good luck Everyone. |

TheLoanGuy:Yes I am on holiday presently in England so I am applying with naija passport that’s why I am doing E visa. Kenya is lovely, been there, meself dey go Rwanda now. Make dem Hold their visa. I saw another trend here in England and people from other countries who require a visa were denied sheepishly and a lot recommend you go to embassy to do actual biometrics where you have the opportunity to submit all original documents, their e visa service is not there yet. God knows how many days it took their dha website to be responsive their e visa service is poor abeg, some were lucky tho, but because some are lucky doesn’t mean the rest of us did a wrong thing it all Depends on the Mood of your caseworker. I did E Visa for kenya last year and within 48hrs no hassle it was granted. Make southy go sit down abegii. All the best. |

I got a report from the BMA section at OR TAMBO about Nigerians over staying in their country. One thing can lead to another. Not saying it is a reason for rejections tho, but if you get back to Nigeria, use VFS. However, if you insist on vacay in other countries, Pls see zanzibar or Casablanca. If you have a valid UK visa, just apply directly on their portal(Morocco) https://www.acces-maroc.ma/#/e-visa Happy Holidays Atinuke and others. |

hunee:No Lies!! The rate in which other countries are even refusing us no matter your past travel history if you like have a visa of heaven on your passport na refuse you dey. They just look for a flimsy excuse and truth be told anywhere Nigerians touch we too dey over do. Canada is the one opening their doors to us now but sooner or later we may be banned. Dubai banned us, US took us off the Visa lottery and so on. E go better that I don’t know when. |
| Re: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by Atinukemi23: 8:12pm On Jul 24, 2023 |
TheLoanGuy:majority of those African countries will be visa free for us soon, Rwanda is considering that and As it should be with our Ecowas passport. |
| Re: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by Atinukemi23: 8:24pm On Jul 24, 2023 |
TheLoanGuy:Mauritius is a place to be too visa free, but if you will be transiting through kenya, you need kenyan transit visa, with that if you use Kenyan airways and you transit through kenya the layover is actually enough to go out and do half a day safari tour in Kenya both ways you can use one stone to kill two birds. I must warn you, the Kenyan street food are not for the faint hearted. Keep purging pills💊 handy. |

Atinukemi23:Rwanda is actually visa on arrival for Nigerians and it is free. I have no idea why your SA visa was refused. Maybe you should take your time to look at it again if you did something wrong. In the last two months (June/July), I've applied for a couple of visas and all were approved. SA, Botswana, Namibia, Mozambique and Kenya. While I agree that Nigerians have a tainted reputation I believe the content of your application might stand you out. I've never used the SA eVisa thingy, so I have no idea how it works. Perhaps you should try the sticker Visa, I hear it's fast these days. |

My favorite kenyan meals are Ugali, Chapati and Pilau. These meals, i have carefully selected them. East Africans do not eat spicy foods the way we do, and pepper is not their thing, so it is expected, keep flagyl to avoid emergencies , unless you want to be eating smokies (Hotdog)Atinukemi23:CC: TheLoanGuy |

Very correct Kel, However, Have it in mind, Rwanda is visa on arrival, but hold some usd. I was in Kigali last year, and we paid 55usd for some kind of test, i think covid and one other before allowed entry. My hotel was just about 5mins to the airport, a place called Kanombe . It is a small country of about 8m people, and very strict with their laws. Clean, Accomodating people but shine cc: Atinuke Africankel: |

I think this issue needs to be discussed on a larger scale. There are actually alot of Nigerians hanging presently in SA with expired visas and running around and away from immigration. I spoke with one of the ladies at BMA extensively about their recent hostility towards Nigerians and she opened a whole chapter for me. At some point, i didnt even know what to say. It is the same report in other places too. I think Nigerians traveling needs to be properly oriented. It is not enough to just hop on a plane, arrive in another man's country and begin to misbehave. You dont expect them to fold their hands. In as much as we want free movement of people across borders, look at the enormous setbacks. Tell me one country now in Africa, that you dont have to apply for visa for , even the ones that were visa on arrival have placed a ban(Seychelles) So, it is worrisome, but i think people like you and many other great people here can champion that course and be an ambassador for change. I tell people, wherever you go, especially outside your country, Just see yourself as an identity for a whole nation. Whatever actions you take, will come back at 200m plus people, so just keep a Good image. That is the orientation we need to start preaching, it is not just to be traveling and traveling. People need to know why they are traveling, so they behave well outside. Atinukemi23: |

Africankel:TBH going to the embassy is better the E-Visa thing is something else, rejected twice in 2weeks, first it was yellow card certificate says it’s invalid even though further evidence was submitted from the Ministry of health to show it is indeed valid and it was valid online before submitting it. So I re applied with the same certified bank statements from LAGOS branch o. Only to come back and tell me I have submitted invalid bank statements. Wahala wahala wahala. I have cancelled my hotel booking I have lost interest. I would have done the VFS I reserve an appointment but I had an emergency to travel out immediately so that fee was forfeited not refundable and you have to book another date giving 48hrs notice hence I opted for evisa. It is what it is. |

There's no need to be so bitter about this, when one door closes another will open. You don't have the monopoly of where nigerians can and cant go. Well meaning Nigerians are still doing the best they can and making waves all over the world. Lionessza6: |

This is a flawed writeup and I’m sure you are a South African. There are criminals everywhere in the world and your people are not any better, from extreme drug abuse to joblessness and begging on the streets😓. Let’s not act like SA is heaven on earth. Let me add that , people will always relocate and look for greener pastures, it’s just so sad that our government has rendered our country useless, that is not to say we don’t have Nigerians thriving all over the world. How many well meaning Nigerians are even given the opportunity to flourish in SA, these people can discriminate ehn. With your good degree and certifications, trust me to get a job in SA will be almost impossible that’s why you see a lot of Nigerians, albeit foreigners opening businesses but no , they will not applaud those ones but rather focus on the nonentities that has decided to spoil the image of our country by selling drugs and being a nuisance in another man’s country. I live in SA, I mind my business, I do not engage in any illegal activities but I have to be judged just because I’m a Nigerian. Should we also say you guys are lazy and druggies and the only reason why your country is this good is because of the “whites”? In essence, there are alot of responsible Nigerians, same way we have alot of irresponsible Nigerians as same applies to every country across the world!!!! Lionessza6: |

A very interesting topic and it nice to hear views from across corners. Please let maintain a very decent criticism and avoid using vulgar words. We are here to educative ourselves. Now, let us ask ourselves, and for those who are abreast with events. Just last week, some group of Nigerians were videoed on the street of instanbul in a scene supposed to be a fracas amongst two warring rivary groups. The aftermath of that event led to the arrest and harrasment of many Nigerians in Turkey. About few weeks ago, a ban was placed on Nigerians in Seychelles. I can go on. Please let us ask ourselves one question. Do you think we targeted by other nationalities? OR it is just a case of reprisal based on our perceived dented image? These are questions we should ponder on as a People. I do not want to start listing the number of countries i have visited in Africa, because is of no use to the conversation, but i am a well traveled person, and i have been to a number of countries in Africa. Unless, we want to be deceiving ourselves and playing ludo with the truth, Nigerians are not seen in good light in many places. True, we are well accomplished , well read, quite smart, very illustrous, but i will like to borrow Atinuke word "We too dey overdo" This topic is not even one of many, we have issues bordering on illegal immigration, drug cartels, and cultism downplaying the efforts of Honest People and we dont even want to be talking about tribes, because Nigerians are the target, not Yoruba , Ibo or Hausa. It is that green passport they are after. Promoting a need to re orient and educate people is very important. The way and manner we talk in Public Places too, we want to create a scene that we have arrived? Alot of education is needed. Even if you have all the degrees on the planet, and you have traveled to the whole world, if you dont know how to comport or behave in public places, it is an issue. I repeat, I repeat again, Alot of education is needed as people are traveling. I remember in those days when we were younger, before we left for school, our parent would sit us down a night before , and give us all necessary life advise, it is now left for you. The same still happens in Higher Institutions, soon as matriculation is completed, Student are made to attend Orientation days, so they can be guided. These are the areas i feel we are lacking as a society, and we need to begin to re direct our steps. Lastly, We are all here to educate , inform and enlighten ourselves, be open to constructive criticism , and let us be mindful of our use of words. Thank you. |

The long and short of the entire discuss is that Solder go Soldier Come, Every of us will carry the name of country on our head It's on us to build our nations to be reputable amongst committee of nations. Whether Nigerians, South Africans or Kenyans. Whatever part of this world you represent, Promote your country in good light and save the career of many of us honest people. People literally have to change their base when applying for jobs or attending interviews these days, like there's this stereotype. Once employers see you are from a perceived place, they send you an automated declined notice. Job opportunities don't come easily to skilled persons. I was speaking with a graphic designer in Nigeria last week and he explained to me how he had to change his location on upwork to US because all the people that contacted him said they can't give him the job because of his location. You got to be a bit more strategic these days. You don't get it, until when you see and encounter these events. So, let's walk the talk, and start the repair from here!!! Thank you Contributors. |

Lionessza6:I am quite objective which makes me different. I recently posted something similar on the UK thread where people accuse travel agent always forging documents without their notice. Then, after carefully reviewing the comments, I made a case for agent and gave a simple comparison. It is not possible for a surgeon to carry out an operation on a patient without a consent. For every forgery or falsification, even when applicants deny not to know, in actual sense, there were part of it. Because you don't give a travel agent requisite document to apply for a visa, you just pay him, where do you expect he or she gets document from? They will obviously "package your application na" Those that have been following my trajectory on this platform since I joined, know that I am very objective with issues. If anyone gets angry about my views, it's on them. We can polish and pretend everything is fine in Nigeria, but remember the Nidcom boss at a time got really angry and exploded about the re occuring drug peddling cases orchestrated by Nigerians in Malaysia that she had to lambast some persons on Twitter. Calling a spade a spade is admittance for growth(Just like confessing your sins and seeking forgiveness for salvation of the soul) and not denial. We sometimes dont have to be diplomatic about issues. This will help us to properly see things clearly so we can move forward better as a people For a fact, the greatest problems of the Nigerian Elite is that alot of them do not tell themselves the truth , even as things are difficult in Nigeria, there are still people that will tell you APC remains the best Government. Make we dey talk truth as e be , so we can move forward. Thanks . |
