Military rule has been just as bad , and in some instances even worse than democratic rule here.

You don't have to agree with me, and I myself don't like our current political system, regardless of the party, but at least we have choices that we never had under army rule

Also, at the end, we have had the same corruption and looting under army rule that we do under civilian rule. The soldiers take over where the civilians stop.

If you want a better democratic system, we have to get up and do the hard work of participation. No democracy is born perfect. It is always a work in progress

And if we want prosperity we have to develop an industrial economy that exports. Army rule never did that, nor did civilian rule. A coup would just change the nature of the oppressors. It's at the end, still the same mess.

You actually think you have choice in your democracy compared to military... let's reason it, your current crop of politicians are same recycled people who would always use power and stolen money to hold power. In Nigeria can someone without money and connection win a primary not to talk of the main election. We are always forced to choose between rubbish always, which is basically selection....circle of cronies n friends ruling......so how's that better than a military govt.
A democratic govt that tells it's citizens to ride on bicycles but allocate billions for themselves to acquire bullet proof cars.....

You don't know what you are saying. The whole of Niger military is not up to a battalion of Nigerian army.
Nigeria can't afford an unstable Niger Republic at all...we have always been tied together in one way or the other even before independence.

We did the same thing in the past in Nigeria under army rule where governors were weeping as their corruption was exposed. Executed corrupt people too.

And then the army took over from where the civilians left off.

You have never lived under army rule. I have . I know how hard it was then.

I don't like how the civilians messed up things since 1999, I did not vote for Buhari or tinubu, I was critical of GEJ , yaradia and even Obasanjo, never voted for PDP., But I know army rule was no better.

Everytime army took over, in five years Nigerians were crying for civilian rule. And army would pretending to listen, but extending the thing
