What does one thing have to do with another? Every tribe produce Bishops and Arch Bishops in Nigeria. But some islamic religious titles are for only the North in the same Nigeria.

There are Yoruba Catholics as well... Igbos and Yoruba cardinals can become Pope if elected by the conclave

Don't you know that white Christians consider black African Christians as baboons?! How then can they make them Pope. Unlike Arabs that allows blacks including Nigerians to lead them even in their countries. A lot of Nigerian muslims give sermons and lead prayers in Saudi Arabia.
And which religion will allow Ibo person to be their world leader? Possibly Yorubas can make a good Pope!

Cardinal Arinze almost became pope, age later disqualified him. It's possible strictly on merit. Cadinal Okpalaeke is building his career now. He may break the record

It will happen the day a Yoruba muslim will become the Sultan of Sokoto and the chairman of supreme council for Islamic affairs.

Sultan is only for heirlooms of Usman dan fodio. He's sultan of sokoto not sultan of Nigerian muslims

No Yoruba man is allowed to become Emir
No Yoruba man is a deputy to Sultan of Sokoto
No Yoruba has ever been a Sultan
Yorubas don't decide Eid dates

Maybe there is no catholic in Yoruba land, or the op can not recollect the names of the Popes produced by the Yorubas. If none of these is the case then Yorubas are equally slaves to the Roman Catholic Church.
