With increasing tensions between ECOWAS and Niger due to the coup another war may likely to happen. Now let's look at Nigeria a country with over 200000 active troops compared to Nigers 12000 troops Nigeria may likely have a chance to win plus the ECOWAS members. But some of us forget that Nigers geographical location is probably full of sand and may give Nigeria a disadvantage. Also before you say Niger will lose because it's landlocked you should remember it has allies up in the north (who are not members of ECOWAS)

Lol.. go school, you say school na scam.. now you come online to talk rubbish...
What is war??
What constitutes two or more countries going to war??
Is there any common issues that both Nigeria and Niger are dragging
Do you know what an independent country's Sovereignty means
Cameroon that has land and border issues with Nigeria, both countries didn't go to war..
Nigerian and Niger don't even have a common history or colonial masters sef.. so what made you think that Nigeria will go to war...
Do you think countries just enter into war like dat?? Economic and military losses will be much so those going to war has something to gain...
What will we gain if we go into war with Niger??
Even if coup takes place in Benin Republic, we will just be looking and going to diplomatic meeting upandan, no body will fight any war..
When we had our own Coup, how many countries went to war with us? Didn't we solve over problem our self...
Abeg let's face our own country problem, let them face theirs...
After all they have closed their border.. no problems, we will continue economic trade with the remaining two land borders and waterways....

Next Case Please....

Your country doesn't have money to cater for the citizens and your talking about war. Can you afford it?

On what ground would Nigeria declare war on Niger? I don't understand. The political crises in Niger is an internal affair. Nigeria can only mediate, not declaring war on a sovereign nation. You people should think before posting nonsense on public fora.

FOOL
First of all Cameroon and Nigeria almost went to war because of the bakassi conflict which was resolved due to a peace treaty
Second of all due to the coup in Niger. ECOWAS is literally WARNING against Niger to put back it's president or war will come.
Third of all why on earth would other countries want to INVADE Nigeria when it had a strong military back then. How about look back at your comment and reason like a human being

That open desert makes Niger a sitting duck for aerial attacks.

The only source of weapons for Niger will come from Libya and it will be from the NATO factional government in Benghazi.

By the way, it isn't going to be a war against Niger but the rogue govt that has zero support from the citizens.

Buhari's statesmanship can be used to isolate the citizens from the rogue junta as they have mad respect for Buhari in Niger.

Nigeria does not need to send troops to Niger to oust the rogue NATO junta in power.

The Touaregs are ready to fight the Niger govt following the brutal clampdown on them when they wanted to declare their own seperate homeland to the north . Qaddafi's ouster was what led to the Touareg insurrection losing steam.

At the end, Niger can be split into three with most of the north and central forming a new seperate country for the Touaregs and the SE corner being shared between Chad and Nigeria leaving only the SW half isolated.

There are ways that we can easily squash the coup junta by simply telling them what we will do if they insist on still remaining in power.

Go back to school and read about the objectives of ECOWAS. Declaring war on a sovereign nation is not one of them.

Nigeria is currently begging foreign countries for weapons to fight ordinary Boko Haram and bandits which is internal insecurity. Where would Nigeria get the weapons to arm the Tuaregs? Or would Nigeria borrow money from China to buy weapons for the Tuaregs?

By the way, arming any militia group in Niger would spell doom for Nigeria because most of the weapons would find it's way to Nigeria through our porous borders and this will worsen insecurity in Nigeria.

Story.

Nigeria was blocked by the Obama WH during GEJ era from accessing weapons from NATO bloc.

We have the money to purchase weapons for Touareg rebels to the north from the black market in Europe to which that greedy Jew rat in Ukraine will not mind supplying for a fee.

You think diplomacy is a straight jacket game?
