Racoon: While I don't like military juntas, have you heard what these leaders are actually saying? I recall Burkina Fasos leader asking why Africa was the poorest continent when we have the most resources? He said plainly this we don't understand and must change.. Right or wrong, they are overthrowing western puppets masquerading as leaders.. The BAT has shown his true colours in taking up sanctions against them. These men could be the next Josef Sankara or perhaps Mobutu. But who knows, time will tell? |

This is getting interesting. AU and ECOWAS need to take a very severe action against this 3 countries otherwise we might as well say bye bye to democracy in Africa! 1 Like |

anyination:Don't push them to their death and destruction. These are countries in the league of poorest of poor nations on earth and Niger in particular, for years, has had the lowest in the world in terms of HDI. They live on the benevolence of Nigeria . Nigeria has experience in this kind of things, having successfully done it in the past. They have no such experience and they are just too few and unequiped. Just take them off internet, electricity and create a land and air blockade 1 Like |

anyination:It's really funny how people think we would just finish niger..fine, we are not dier mate but on a neutral level we would deal with them but when the people of niger are in support of the coup so why are we fighting to force them to accept what dey don't want..africa will be thrown into war.kenya, ugandan, guinea, mali, Algeria , burki and more are indirectly supporting niger..wagner group have presence there and will definitely use this opportunity to for Russia.niger will get many weapons and Nigeria will be attacked from multiple side and have severe casualties..west will supply and after awhile leave us.so we will use our subsidy to fight war..if the people as for help it's a different thing but why fight for people that don't want your help |

The AU is setting Tinubu up to eventually fall flat on his face. Tinubu set the dice rolling when he made those unguarded statements recently in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. This is why you need a leader who is cognizant of the times and situation around him. The coup d'état in Niger is a direct consequence of his front loaded submission at that summit. South Africa and pro EAC countries led by Kenya are spoiling to exploit the leadership and economic weakness currently prevailing in Nigeria, and this is just the beginning. My hope is that this select president will engage the services of seasoned technocrats to thread the current murky waters and steer well clear of his inexperienced political lackeys. |

tsdarkside: Which war? Can they fight Ethiopia, Egypt, South Africa, Morocco, Algeria, Nigeria, Angola etc? Even Ghana is a power house in ECOWAS. They can singlehandedly bring down Burkina Faso. Ask Chad, they will never support Niger because they had experienced war with us. 1 Like

Godwin4444:Irrespective of whoever is in power! Nigeria is not yet d country every sane patriot dreams of... I personally don't see any difference btw military rule and d current civilian government in Nigeria. Are we truly practicing democracy? If yes, den, dis democracy could make one have a change of mind. D corruption going on is too much, and if d military should intervene for d sole interest to salvage d country, I think it's a good move. We can't continue like dis. 1 Like |

And beat his chest that even if He wakes up and hear the Yorubas beating the drum of war, that he would go back to sleep. Yet Yorubas didn't do anything. Why do Yorubas feel they are stronger than igbos, if the North decides not to side with you guys, can Yorubas alone Replicate 1960 for the igbos and invade them? |
