Initially, regional development bodies were created as a result of the need to prop-up those regions that suffered devstation as a result of violence or insurrection (NDDC - resulting from violence in the ND and feelings of exploitation and NEDC - as a result of BH activities that brought the region to its knees).

Today however, the SW is proposing a development commission for no tangible reason, one of the regions that was at the forefront of noise making regarding the earlier mentioned development commission.

Nobody should be surpirsed tomorrow to see an NC dev commision, a SE dev commission and what not.

Very soon states will start sponsoring bill for their state development commission.. "Benue state development commission bill". This comission must reach everybody.
