But, given what conservatives are doing all over the country in their quest for minority rule and racist policies, a Supreme Court not in the hands of the religious far right is important. Well, unless the Dems find a way to redo the Supreme Court. But of course, they are Dems.
That is my train of thought right now. It may change in 4 years if demographics and ideologies change. But given the fever conservatives and the world seems to be in, I don't have faith in that happening

Some of them are voting Biden because of SCOTUS, Alito and Thomas even Roberts will not retire under a Democrat in power but nature can take it's course and if it does let a Democrat be at the White House. That is why I said that Scotus was at stake in my comments earlier.
That is what a lot of folks are seeing. DeSantis even said that Democrats should not win the next two election cycles because they can take back control of SCOTUS. I expect Justice Sotomayor to retire in Biden's second term. And must be replaced by a liberal, if nature takes out a conservative jurists a Democrat should be in the White House to fill that vacancy.
It is what folks are saying, it's so sad the courts were not taken seriously in 2016. In 2024, Scotus is on the ballot.

I have heard of the Handmaid's tale since Amy Coney Barrett was nominated to SCOTUS, her nickname is handmaid Barrett. I have the novel but I have not watched the series.
I blame Bill Clinton for nominating a 60 year old woman to SCOTUS and could not find a younger person. RBG should have retired the time Obama put Sotomayor and Kagan on SCOTUS because it would have been difficult in his second term.

Don’t forget that even if they get a hack DC jury to convict, the charges will be appealed to the Supreme Court where it will 100% be thrown out.

That’s exactly what happened in another one of serial loser Jack Smith’s cases against former Virginia governor Bob McDonnell. Smith filed flimsy charges, a hack jury convicted him and it was subsequently overturned by the Supreme Court.

That’s exactly what’s going to happen here. Most of these charges are a violation of Trumps free speech rights.
