Nothing like that.

Kwankwaso considers himself way above serving under Tinubu as a Minister, and that sentiment is well placed. It would have amounted to utter fuckery and a let-down of his political achievements so far if he had accepted a ministerial position in this government.

Kano people for no regard am again. It's like you don't understand that RMK is a religion in Kano State.
Obidients and BATists have certainly both got the man wrong.

Why is he so popular in Kano though? Have read and heard different things but interested in your opinion.

To be honest, I have never gotten around to understanding why RMK wields so much influence and respect in the Kano state political atmosphere.

The 2 months I spent in Sabon gari, both indigenes and non-indigenes were always effusive with resplendent descriptions of the man and his time in governance. Looks like he somehow found a way to impact positively on the people down to the very grassroots. They claimed he is irrevocably accessible, as per one governor you could always be allowed to see, even in the middle of the night, so long he was awake to give you audience. The muslims claimed he held their religion with utmost respect and valued the core tenets therein.

It's like Kwankwaso can literally do no wrong in the eyes of the average Kano man. Yet he was not a religious extremist. But whatever it is exactly, the man is just loved in that state.

Oh Really. I don't think El Rufai will sell like Buhari in modern day Nigeria.
His extremism is already generating issues like in southern Kaduna. He will be resisted at national stage but may prevail among his people
Was buhari ever a sold out in nigeria? He was never! Buhari's support has always being the core northern states that's why he had to team up with Tinubu and amaechi to get a few million votes from the south courtesy of those guys I mentioned.

Trust me, elruffy has the support of sokoto, kebbi, zamfara, kastina, northern kaduna, jigawa, bauchi, borno, niger, yobe and a bit of popular votes in kano. All courtesy of his bigotry.

All he needs is to get a willing southerner as an ally, who is ready to betray the south just to have a shot at the presidency. Somebody like wike will careless. He will support anything just to sit at the table

Lol, politicians and lies ehn, Kwankwaso that has been jumping from one party to another in the last few years now has a different ideology to that of his fellow politician. Dey play oh….

Making Ganduje APC Chairman is like a gun to Kwankwaso’s head, it practically makes it impossible for him to return to APC. Now he knows the only option is to find his way back to PDP.

Tinubu is an early starter, he has started checkmating some political heavy weights that will fight to succeed him in office. Except something changes, Power will go back to Northwest, but who exactly it will be is where the suspense lies. Watch out for Atiku Bagudu, El Rufai, Tambuwal and Kwankwaso.

Indeed Nigeria is a captured state!!!!

The National Leader of the New Nigeria Peoples Party, NNPP, Engineer Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso has been receiving accolades and praises for turning down the offer to join the Government of National Unity being proposed by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The decision came after citing several reasons that many members of Kwankwassiyya movement and the NNPP consider incompatible with the founding philosophy of the movement and the party.

Both leaders a few months ago had reportedly met in France to concretize arrangements that would ensure the participation of the opposition parties in the Tinubu-led government.

But the major waged between both leaders is that Sen. Kwankwaso is a pro-masses, a selfless leader whose major concern is the general welfare of the people especially in areas of education, empowerment, social reorientation, security, and good government.

The clear differences in their individual ideologies greatly affected the France deal and talks reached after a series of meetings in France which have since evaporated into thin air.

Members of the Kwankwassiyya movement including NNPP have continued to accuse the All Progressives Congress (APC) led government of implementing and carrying out anti-people's programmes and policies which is considered inimical to the philosophy of the NNPP.

They cited the haste removal of fuel subsidies without proper plans on how to cushion the effects by the government as one such which has continued to inflict pains on Nigerians.

Specifically, Sen. Kwankwaso's group flay the poor management of the decision by the government saying it would be bad for their leader to participate in such government or to be part of the current government.

It is also believed that the decision of Sen. Kwankwaso to stay out of the government will remove the belief that Kwankwaso worked for APC in the last round of the general election, an allegation which was untrue and concocted by APC propaganda machine to smear and weaken NNPP base and to hoodwink the electorates in the northern parts of the country.

Another sour point in the relations between the two parties is the decision of the current government to appoint people tagged with engaging in corruption and corrupt practices into government.

Sen. Kwankwaso can't be seen with characters like Ganduje who was caught stuffing dollars in his pocket and is now being appointed National chairman of the ruling party.

In the main time, Sen. Kwankwaso intends to build a virile constructive opposition coalition movement via NNPP and with other like-minds across the country.

These notwithstanding, the personal relationship with President Bola Tinubu who is a long-time political friend with Sen. Kwankwaso would remain cordial and will remain the same despite turning down the olive branch by the President.
The enemy of your enemy is your friend, Kwankwaso is now a saint cause he refuses to join BATs government, continue

Beautiful. Pressure from all angles is good. If Tinubu performs he can stay till 2039. I'll support it lol

But if APC choose arrogance like some of their supporters here then there is an opposition (currently disunited but not for long) waiting. Ball is in your court.

God Bless Nigeria ❤️

Fake news without any credible source. However, I don't see kwankwaso as threat. His influence doesn't go beyond Kano. Even in Kano, ganduje gave him a run for his money. His influence will be seriously watered down by 2027. Just watch! Especially with the way the nnpp governor is going in Kano.

endsars responsaible for that plus he is a master pretender
He has pretended to the point where none of his political enemies could dig out any act of impropriety he did right from when he was governor till now.

Really?

He was pretending when he was impeached twice for refusing to inflate and misappropriate funds as governor.
He was pretending when he refused to borrow and left his state with a positive balance sheet, when his mates were leaving their states in tatters.

He was pretending when he was investing billions into education.

Can your father pretend like that?

Clown.

I see “local Kano champion” is the briefing APC have given to their propagandists now that Kwankwaso has rejected their offer. But I guess it’s fake news lol.

Wasn’t Tinubu a “local SW champion” a decade ago? Now he wants to finish off any possible opposition so he can relax in office for 8 years like Baba before him lol. He should focus on the work in his office instead jare.

Part of the reason Buhari was a failure was because his strong mandate and coalition made him arrogant. PBAT should be grateful for the pressure lol

Elruffy of course. Look kwankwaso is a better administrator in terms of HDI just like Obi. However, elruffy has a very strong affinity for bigotry and he is also vindictive, these are the traits that are more adorable and admired in the north. As a politician, for you to be likeable in the north, religion, tribe/ethnicity, and region must always be your priority. Also always make sure you insult or throw jibe at southerners at any given opportunity. You will be popular
