In today's families, especially in some parts of Africa countries, most families desire to have male children more than females. It is so heartbreaking that some family members will even be saying related things in the presence of the daughter as if she is a mistake or that she has nothing good to offer in the family.

Any man who thinks women are less important in the family should remain single or think of how he came to this planet called earth. Having female children has lots of benefits than having male and by the time you finish reading this article, you will probably see why you should desire to have female more than you want males.
1. Female child can retain her family's name. One of the reasons why most people want male children is because of their family's name. They want the name to remain but what they may not know is that their son can grow up and change his name from that of the family to start bearing any other names he chooses.


Secondly, females can retain their parents/family's names. Gone are the days when wives dropped their family names to pick the husband's family's name. These days, what they do is to add their husband's name to their name. For example, assuming your daughter's name is Adesoji Adaeze and she marries Ibrahim. She can just add Ibrahim to her name so that her new name after marriage becomes Adesoji Adaeze Ibrahim. By so doing, your family name still lives on even after you are no more.
2. They are good keepers of the home. When God blesses you with a female child as your first child, you will soon thank Him for being so good to you because the girl will be assisting you With house chores. Washing of clothes, plates, helping you in cooking, etc house chores will no longer be done by the mother alone. They are good housekeepers.

3. They love their fathers
If you think your son loves you, try fathers' and daughters' love. Female children love their parents especially their fathers more than their love for their mothers. Apart from this, they hardly take sides with their mothers if there is a misunderstanding.They will rather tell their mother to beg daddy because she is at fault.

4. They bring more money to the family. I know you may find it a bit difficult to agree with me on this. But let look at marriage, when your son wants to marry, you spend money with no one giving you. But if your daughter is the one getting married, you know what you stand to gain.

Secondly, when your children both male and female have married and you need financial assistance, check who will first give you. Your male child will focus more on his immediate family, his wife, and children but your daughter will never compromise you for anything. She will do everything to get the money for you.

5. They won't give up on you after marriage. Most men switch their attention from their parents to their wives after marriage but female children are not like that. God so much bless them that they can love their fathers, love their husbands, and at the same time love their children. Indeed, they are wonderfully made.

6. They will stand by you at old age. Finally and most importantly, daughters hardly give up on their parents at old age. Your son can come and give you some money and go his way. But your daughter will seek your comfort, take care of you and bring you to stay with her or close to her. In addition to this, she will bathe you, change your clothes and make sure you are good before thinking of herself. Your son may not do these things for you.

Those heir apparent are illusion. I have seen a family with all boys and they are all useless. No education, no skills, walking elmlessly with short knicker and phone on the streets. I have seen family with 2 successful beautiful girls. One is happily married and relocated to US. The other is doing pretty fine for herself. I will rather have those girls as children than have a full grown useless men as children. Go to correctional centres and see how your so called heir apparent are languishing there. What have you achieve bearing your father's or grandfathers name? What door has your father's name open for you? Or you think it's just to have a male child?
