Okezie should be ashamed of his miserable self

Didn't you hear he was fetched from a motor park and made a state governor for personal gains by TA Orji? What do you expect from him? It is like having MC Oluomo run Lagos State for 8 years. Garbage in garbage out.

This is Shalom road, the road is going to serve as an alternative for motorists when major construction work begins on Aba/Owerri road.

Aba/Owerri is most likely going to be enlarged into a 6 lanes road.

Aba-ikot Ekpene road, I know it's a fed road but Otti please look into it like akpabio did on akwa ibom side. All I need from Otti is to pay salaries and build roads, maybe security and electricity. Forget about investors, they will come naturally, no be Aba again?

There’s nothing slow in Soludo, work is going on well in most Anambra roads; awka and onitsha, I think is only in nnewi that we’ve not really see anything yet

And some conspiracy theorists would say they did one charm in Aba so that there will never be good and the city will remain dirty. PDP is meant to die a natural death in SE. Again, Labour legislators no dey try at all. They just go seat nothing at all. No robust opposition. We may have to change them next election except they seat. See Ireti I campaigned for, nothing from her. During the ministerial screening no reasonable questions from her or her Labour colleagues make them seat up or pack up.

One thing I noticed in all the roads being constructed under Alex in Aba is that no demolition is being made. This was made possible because Aba is well-planned. This cannot be said for Nnewi and Onitsha which are not well-planned, especially Nnewi. I've always known that transforming Aba into a more modern city is not a difficult thing to do. All that it required was just a decent governor who genuinely has the will to do it. I don't know under whose administration Aba was planned, but one thing I know is that the person did an excellent job in planning the city.

My prayers is that it should be quality roads that will last after his tenure. Is better to construct 5 quality road than substandard road by all this Chinese and Lebanese companies.

I hate seeing open gutters in cities! It’s so primitive and screams broke ass 3rd world country!

Don't mind the stupid moro.ns.

I JUST DON'T KNOW WHY THESE NIGERIAN LEADERS FIND IT SO HARD TO BUILD ROADS WITH SIDEWALKS AND COVERED DRAINS, AS IS DONE EVERYWHERE ELSE IN THE WORLD.

THEY JUST BUILD THIS PRIMITIVE NONSENSE THAT WOULD LEAD TO LAWSUITS IN EVERY SANE COUNTRY ON EARTH.

How can supposedly intelligent people build a road in a residential area with ZERO provision for pedestrians?

Are pedestrians not taxpayers?

Is infrastructure only for car owners?

Where are people supposed to walk in that rubbish you built?

This is how a street should look:

WHAT IS SO HARD ABOUT BUILDING YOUR STREETS LIKE THIS?

WHERE IS THE OPEN GUTTER HERE?

OR DOES RAIN NOT FALL IN THIS PLACE?

These stupid governors travel to all these places and own houses there.

Why do they see this there and then come back to Nigeria and build roads with open gutters and no sidewalks?

And then to make it worse, you have these local sycophants who PRAISE them for building the roads.

Some even PRAISE them for building the ''drainages'' ie open gutters.

It's just sad.

Pure backwardness of the mind.

This is a major reason tourists rarely come to Nigeria.

Who wants to walk on sand beside filthy open gutters?

A country where pedestrian sidewalks - basic infrastructure - are seen as a luxury?

Rubbish.

Nigerians gave a poor maintenance culture.

You can build the best for them, but they'll destroy it after some months.

I've seen people take their refuse to public refuse collector and then throw their refuse on the ground instead of simply depositing it in the refuse collector.

People use plastic bags and just dump them anywhere instead of moving a few meters to locate a proper disposal location.

You'll see people resting against a wall and then suddenly lift their mud-stained shoes to place them on the wall, thereby defacing the paint.

We have a maintenance issue. Don't be surprised that people will dump refuse on those roads again and them come back to insult the governor in a few months.

I propose a kind of laws with serious repercussions against people who do these things.

Demolitions might occur when he starts working on Aba/Owerri road. It's going to be enlarged.
