Honesty is key! The Nigeria today is full of characters that are questionable so this approach is part of the due diligence checks

I look forward to hearing from Nairalanders who has displayed diligence in this platform over the years such Baba Egunmogaji, Spyder, Hajji, Twinskenny,Aventure, etc etc to help this informations.

My boss in the house thou am little to you all but concerning what you said it depend on the agreement between the fabricator and the owner of the contract, some owner will not pay on time of agreement with the fabricator and when price increase some will not respond to the increments of the material what I know is that everything depend on understanding and know one is perfect on this job. I thank God

mass concrete with iron mesh. no bars, it's just gonna be used for parking by residents of the compound.

No this ratio is not good at all.

In actual fact your ratio is 1:4: 4.5 cos one 50kg bag of cement is two pans of cement. This ratio is poor and weak concrete for swamp.

For foundation I always recommend 1:1.5:3 otherwise
you can do the standard 1:2:4 ( one bag of cement , 4 pans of sharp sand and 8 pans of granite)

using this ratio 1:2:4 can u help me calculate the material volume to cast a 13ft by 12ft floor of 4" thickness?

I was in an office today and the building vibrated, I asked what happened and was told it does that everytime a heavy truck drives by.

Why should a building vibrate when heavy trucks move around it? Have you experience this before?

That's bad, it's as a result of either poor structural design or building construction.
A building is meant to be constructed against any form of vibration.
Even in the building code, a building must not be built close to certain paths like that of a train, heavy truck and air plane because these machines cause a lot of vibration which can collapse a building.

Must be a very large house. Weldone Sir. I think cost estimate would depend on your choice of tiles, which you did not specify.

By the way, unit of quotation should be sqm, and not mm.

That quotation is wrong. How did he arrive at the mm?

Your quote should be in m². Get someone to measure the length and width of your rooms or post the floor plan to get proper quantities.

so if it was in a drop land let's say German floor for dpc indoor is the 1:4:4.5 ratio mix okay?
