Except they reject the nominee on valid grounds like the nominee being an Ex convict, lacking credibility(with evidence of documents to proove). The Senate knows opposition party senators might want to reject so thats why they made it fair to both senators and nominee. Morover the senators have more to gain by supporting the nominee.
