Laycon wasn't even blackmailing Erica nor maligning Erica's name. He only said Erica liked him every time the housemates tried to wake him up. Laycon then added that Erica tried to kiss him to buttress his delusional point about Erica liking him.

It was Laycon withdrawal since she couldn't find anyone to use to flirt to make Kidd jealous that caused her rage.

Very good. Now, it should be noted (as you rightly did here) that when Laycon made mention of Erica trying to kiss him, it wasn't him trying to troll or provoke Erica intentionally. He might have been saying these things out of honest concerns about Erica. That's fine and good.

When Ebuka brought up this subject publicly that Sunday, Erica obviously felt embarrassed, slighted and betrayed that Laycon should say these things about her. It didn't matter to her whether it was true or not. It didn't matter what Laycon's true intentions were. As far as she knew, Laycon was trying to drag her name in the mud with those statements. On the night of the confrontation, she attacked nearly all the housemates, but anyone who is smart enough could have literally seen that the major target of her inglorious tirade was Laycon. She made mention of the attempted kiss numerous times in her rants.

Provocation can be indirect and unintended, or accidental. When Laycon said those things about Erica, he failed to take into account the possible chain of events that would lead to her eventual meltdown, through no fault of his own. Of course, there is a whole other argument about whether it was even right for Laycon to go about telling people how Erica tried to kiss him in the first place, given the sensitivity of the matter, but I won't bother to go down that rabbit hole.

You can try to deny this and pretend it isn't true, but Ebuka bringing up Laycon's statements publicly played a big role in Erica's outburst later on, and this is evidenced in the fact that Laycon was the biggest receiver of her slurs and attacks that night, with the attempted kiss being a major talking point.

It is true that Erica was obsessed with Kiddwaya to the point of outright stupidity and shamelessness, but to ignore the fact that Laycon's comments about the attempted kiss was a major catalyst behind the drama that night is straight up disingenuous. Her obsession with Kidd wasn't the only factor responsible for her verbal rampage that night. Erica had been obsessed with Kidd for majority of the season. It was only after Ebuka brought up Laycon's comment on the live show that Erica started how downward spiral into insanity. Or did you fail to notice that the Sunday when Ebuka talked about the kiss was literally the start of the week in which she had that infamous meltdown?
