Dollar is now 917naira, how did we get here?
Dangote refinery was estimated to cost $26billion , 50% loan was borrowed from FG, now my point is, how much will it cost FG to work the ph refinery? Or kaduna refinery, if they can take loan from other countries to build road and train stations, why can’t they take loans to build refineries. I heard from someone that the ph refinery will start functioning on December, have been to the refinery, there’s absolutely nothing wrong with it. By the time tinubu is done with us, we will miss Buhari 😂
None of this is your business oga, aggitate for Biafra s freedom and leave Nigeria issues alone for Nigerians , today you are Nigerian , tomorrow morning you are biafran.. irrelevant group of people they need to set a lawyer that will stop the south east from voting ... children of perdition ...always calling for war everytime..you all should thank God for the UN and the federal government that gave you all the opportunity to breath again after the mumu ojokwu war that almost wiped you all off the surface of the earth....

We often keep misdiagonising or underestimating the major problems we have in Nigeria.

First is the reluctance of the government to go after economic theives. As long as they are allowed to go scot-free, nothing will change & the cycle continues.

Second is centralisation of financial power at the centre. Local governments should get more allocation & take up more responsibilities for development. This way, the elected person can be made to account for resources rather than a figure in Abuja the masses only see on TV.

Third, drastically reduce cost of governance. Aides upon aides upon special advisers all draining & stealing from the collective purse. Except the President & vice-president, no elected officials' convoy should be more than 2 cars. Governors, 3 cars maximum. Non elected officials should not use convoys.

Fourth, all government equipment, especially vehicles, should be sourced locally.

Fifth, no government official should seek medical treatment abroad on government expense. All government officials at the top must have their wards schooling in Nigeria, except when such child had started schooling abroad before the parent became a government official.

Sixth, establish a very strong mortgage system where capital intensive assets can be gotten on very long terms.

Seventh, subsidise production. Subsidies should go to businesses that produce essential goods & services. Primarily, agriculture.

Some of these will help put nigeria on a better footing. Pallatives are just another avenue to steal.

Nigerians don't care.

As long as their brother is in power, competency is not important.

Nigerians love suffering shamelessly.

The politicians know this.
Exactly, and that is the doom of the country.
We will turn around and hate, discredit who genuinely wants the progress of the country for tribal reasons. Are we not the ones, that have hooked now?
Some people know how to naturally turn things around, but will a chance be given? I will give you 2 examples.
1. What did Osibanjo do when he took office for a short period, sars went off the streets, he sacked dss head that violated the judiciary, because of that police oga cautioned his boys and they knew he meant business, naira that hit 750 crashed to 300. How come.
2. For the past 8 years, no school, business, transporters would have been able to buy buses because of the high price due to exchange rate. Eg a brand new haice bus is currently over 40m, coaster 50m. A brand new korope from Suzuki cfao motors is 10m. Out of the blue, some sharp guy goes to Japan, starts buying 1st class used buses. Cuts the top off, disassembles them. Stacks eg 30 vehicles in a 40ft container instead of the 4 vehicles a 40 footer will contain.
He the ships it in, assembles them and crashes the price of korope to 2m, hummer bus 7m. Nigerians can then afford to buy.
This is what I mean. This same Nigeria could be handled by a competent person, naira would have appreciated, fuel price would have dropped, fuel importation would have been cheaper somehow. If you doubt, read again the example of cost buses I have up there, a way was found.

Only a fool will buy it at the moment, the need for oil is dying so fast these days. Dangote must have realised that he was over ambitious building this current one.
The refineries are not going to be ready in December because building or repairing repairing it doesn't work like repairing a car. Tinubu is just waiting on Dangote then when Dangote refinery kicks they will change their speech, how its not necessary to repair the refineries because it is costly they'll do a deal with Dangote.
They're only using Dangote to front.
The refinery & chain of other business is a group ownership. Na dem dem get am.

Green energy technologies are still in their early stages of development, and their efficiency and reliability need further improvement.
For it to compete with fossil fuel, it will take a long time

The refineries are just conduit pipes for looting. Tell me one business the government is involved in that is thriving. I believe in what Atiku said he would do to the refineries. Sell them off and Nigeria will be saving a lot of money while making money from royalties.
Thank you bro . They should sell them to foreign investor and pay our debts once
