Getting right mechanic is the koko, every car met certain world standards and specifications before being rolled out.
No car is bad, but you can't just be using certain cars anyhow and expect things to be alright.
That particular car is one the most used car in the North, but most mechanics here in this Lagos will tell you it's a bad car that you must join the bandwagon and it must be Toyota mentality.
Anyways make sure you are buying a sound one not the one the owner is tired of the wahala and get a specialist, like those who specializes on pegout products so you don't take it to those Toyota Guys because they will likely mess everything up for you.
It's a very good, strong and fuel efficient car if everything is okay.

206 may not pass bolt inspection because it's too small. Go for 307. Then, buy the manual transmission because the auto transmission get wahala. The gearbox dey quickly get issue and make sure you inspect whether the brain box is still okay before buying.

Good morning comrades.
I'm discussing with a partner on a rental. 40k weekly. Then he wants all repairs on the driver. His reason is that it will make the driver handle the car like his own. But am proposing to handle repair below 15k and we share repair above 15k 70:30. 70% for the car owner.
Also, he want car to be returned for inspection every Saturday morning and I take it back Sunday evening. But am proposing twice a Month for inspection and not weekly.
I need experience drivers and partners to tell me if am wrong.
You are quite generous with the repairs offer. Shouldn't be more than 5k. 75/25 split too... 80/20 sef. Zero contribution to servicing. Alternatively, You can propose that you'd handle cosmetic damage, and ditch the split arrangement, that should help keep you in check and ease his worries too.
He doesn't need 24 hours to inspect and if at all, that day's rent should be pro rated and netted off. Also twice a week or once a month for inspection. If it has to be weekly, then pro rate as stated above. Saturday is a day you should be making your own keep and he'll be eating into it.
Most importantly, you both need to understand that the arrangement needs to be mutually beneficial and both parties will enjoy it better when both of you are eating.

Respect and listen to all the people that have told u it is enough. It has been irritating.
I guess there is no way somebody will advise u guys without getting stray bullet.
Bishop said it himself that he declined vouching for Felicity, so no need twisting anything.
U see that's the purnishment for talking too much when u are upset. Both online and offline. U spill out too much Information, u shalaye a shalaye that will be used against u in court. It has worked against Felicity, it has worked against u also. It will work against me and anyother person that falls victim of spilling too much online. Internet never forgets.

Go for the manual especially if you are buying Naija used, yes manual tranny is cheaper to maintain and more durable.
But if you must do auto go with a seasoned Kazeem grin
Then in all make sure you keep extra 200k in case, e get why because worse cases you may be changing either transmission, engine or revamp the suspension.

206 if in good shape will pass unless they have changed, and yes the 307 is a bit bigger but they are not the same price in the market.

Good morning all

Can anyone just point me to the page that has the basics of what I'd need to join the ehailing train?
Or... if anyone can help with explanation on what I'd need to do first.
I'm not a novice driver in lagos but I've never gotten on the business side of it.
I have a 12pm-6pm job and I just got a Honda Civic 2009 (hybrid).

Just anything that a noob in the ehailing business should have and note, do's and don'ts too.

Best Regards,
Your humble protégé.

It’s a company thing o

And no one is forcing anything, it’s an offer. You either accept or you reject…

Moreover, the driving hour won’t be upto 2hrs both to and fro.

Okay?

The driver who might need this probably don't have a car to drive, not driving presently, maybe just sleeping at home that is even if he has a place to sleep...5k will be alot of money to him at the moment...
I have some around me here, would you rather just send them the 5k or more so they can go back to bed!!! You know what, whoever is not doing anything now needs ENGAGEMENT, that little Waka can open doors, bigger one..Better than nothing.
My opinion.

I usually receive calls from young folks saying they just got an offer but the salary is small. My advice is usually is, PLS TAKE IT!
Once that small salary can cover your TP and meal, pls do it..you need engagement, you won't get it sleeping at home, it is from that small job, you get to meet people, you get engage, you get lucky ad a bigger one might come...
If you drive indians to site for 5k, who knows what that could lead to? Who knows?
Rather you tell him it's too small but you won't help him with shishi....

Okay?
I understand you, the offer isn't for everybody.
No matter how poor someone might still need it, I once did it few months ago.
I was just sighing, reluctantly and grudgingly doing it because that's the only way then.
Instead sitting idle at home, at least if they tell you welcome in the evening it's something.

I no talk say the price dey perfect ooo

I had a very nasty experience some days ago. I went to the airport to drop one of my Ogas and decided to visit a friend who stays in ajao estate. I didn’t want to blow back empty and decided to wait to get a rider to at least pay for my fuel back to the Island. That’s how i turned on my Rida app and saw someone requesting for help to jumpstart his vehicle, I initially ignored the request and assumed someone else will help out. 20mins later..i still saw his request online..i decided to check the details and discovered that he was about 12mins away from my location. I decided to go since it was nearby; after driving through bad roads, Running my engine for 20mins plus, using a powerbank and a jumper cable afterwards..the car refused to start. My battery had to be removed and combined with a powerbank to boost to start his car. The whole process took me at least 30mins after which i gave him my account details for him to do a transfer, he claimed to have been debited . Fast forward to 48hrs afterwards..I haven’t seen one kobo from him. I used the same bank he claimed to have used to make a transfer to my account and it dropped instantly. He doesn’t pick my calls or respond to whatsapp messages and keeps on claiming he has been debited. People like this are the type who make others ignore assisting others in times of need. This is the number of the guy..09161870419, i think amos is his name.

If the bank is Gtb, it's possible they debited him and didn't credit you.
Just tell him to check his account balance, there might have been a reversal and he would not notice because it's small money.
Had a bad experience with my Gtb account yesterday.
I got a reversal this morning.
