Some protesters have taken to the streets in Kano State to kick against the imminent use of force to resolve the Niger coup crisis.

The Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) had directed military forces of the member states to be on standby.

The protesters on Saturday embarked on the demonstration to show their displeasure at the planned military invasion of Niger Republic.

While moving in a procession, they were chanting Nigeriens are our brothers, Nigeriens are also our family.

Niger is ours, we don’t want war, war against Niger is injustice, a plot by the western forces.”

They displayed Nigeria and Niger’s flags alongside placards, chanting anti-war catchphrases.

This followed an intense call from different quarters, especially Northerners who believe that Nigeriens are neighbours with whom they share things in common.

Ebola doing everything possible to shift focus from the pending tribunal outcome.

Well, the die is cast already. I really pity northerners at this time because if this impending war ever happens, the ripple effect will be so loud in that region.

If Wagner ever comes to Niger the same people will be on the streets asking for Federal government to protect them.
These Africans are like pawns in a global chess game and they are oblivious to it.
It makes you wonder what Africans were doing when Europeans decided in Berlin to carve them up and share them like a piece of cake.

All these are warning signs. Most northern Muslims are fanatics who shared ancenstral links and religious bonds with Niger Republic. Tinubu only obsession is that non-Buhari and anti-neocolonists friendly coupists are the ones in charge today.

Diplomacy is important but if talk fail ,action must follow .

Coup must be tamed in west Africa else the whole region will be destabilized .

Also,it will make ECOWAS look bad if diplomacy failed but action did not follow .

They have started again, this is how they killed Gaddafi, every African was against Gaddafi but immediately he died we started regretting. We should do our analysis in this part of the world before we come into conclusions. The only problem of tinubu now is that coup in west Africa is coming very close to Nigeria and our president is scared for such not to happen in Nigeria.... Russia, u.s.a and France is not backing Nigeriens all are lies.... they are all looking for ways to sell arms and milk our resources..... diplomatic approach is the best uption..... know body should underestimate the power of Nigerien soldiers , Russia and Ukraine came into mind

More reason why military intervention should not be on the table. Same way the northerners are protesting on the Niger conundrum is same way the SWers will do if Nigeria threatens to attack Benin Republican or Togo.
