There won't be protest if it was still Buhari. That was how they protested during Goodluck time when he wanted to go full force on bk boys.

Tinubu wants to establish rapport and legitimise his mandate with Western super power nations. It's not that Nigeria is gonna profit a dime from forcing out the coupists of Niger 🇳🇪 Republic.

These are Nigeriens residing in Nigeria, is just like when Benin Republic is on circumstances like this, as Lagos State that's bordering Benin Republic, all Beninous and Togolese residing in Badagry will stage this type of protest.

However, it'll appears as if they were Nigerians. Though, I dislike war.

The peeing machine doing everything to shift focus from the pending tribunal outcome.

Well, the die is cast already. I really pity northerners at this time because the ripple effect of this impending war will be so loud in that region.

Have you noticed his peeing problem vamoosed after he won the election? Have you noticed he hadn't made any Habu buba speech?

My relation who is a small APC cell said he might have been suggested by the some in APC to behave like an invalid so the Northerners to think he'll either die in office or stay only one term.

Suddenly the maestro seems to be in the best of health.

All these are warning signs. Most northern Muslims are fanatics who shared ancenstral links and religious bonds with Niger Republic. Tinubu only obsession is that non-Buhari and anti-neocolonists friendly coupists are the ones in charge today.

I really saw something now, do you know if it were to be a Christian president, they would term is a religious cleansing or something

It's long overdue. Their excesses are too much, even though military rule isn't the best option. Anything that would change the status quo is welcome. Provided they'd sanitize the system and restore real democracy. This isn't the type of Democracy we fought for. I'm so disappointed

The military will never sanitize any system bro....we had them in Nigeria for almost 30 years.

It is shocking that we all see this as new. Military men chanting populist rhetorics to gain legitimacy isnt something new.

Coups cant solve our problems, only democracy can. The sad part is that we wont even be able to talk or have any hope of changing things every 4 years.

Go and check Murtala Mohammed's OAU speech when he took power, it isn't different from the coup plotter's claims. Let me tell you the playbook for coupists

1- They wait for morale to be low or democracy to be at a difficult point
2- They snatch power and chant populist rhetorics knowing well that sections of the population already hated the deposed civilian ruler and will subtly support them
3- They begin to do exactly same or worse than the deposed ruler
4- They shut out people and noone can talk
5- Their colleagues in the military will leverage the mood and engage foreign powers who aint aligned with the current military ruler, to plan a coup and send out the military ruler.
6- step 5 continues for many years
7- The masses realise their foolishness and begin to clamor for democratic rule again, amidst heavy persecution
8- The will of the masses may succeed and we revert to democracy after wastig decades under uproducive authocratic leaders

Nothing beats the power to organise yourselves and make statements via the ballot every 4 years

If war starts northerners in the south will scatter everywhere and burn properties o
Northerners and Niger have more in common than the South
They share same language
Let that old man do what the West says and see what will happen in the South.

Good luck to Nigerians

Diplomacy is important but if talk fail ,action must follow .

Coup must be tamed in west Africa else the whole region will be destabilization .

Also,it will make ECOWAS look bad if diplomacy failed but action did not follow .

If even Niger is attack so its Lagos that attack them? So if obi is the president(God forbid) and took this position same way with ECOWAS will you say Anambra should be hit by Niger army as revenge?

Use your brain or remain quiet for now.

The problem of a military intervention is the possibility of it becoming like the case scenario of Syria ,Libya or liberia.libya etc.

It will escalate to hit the whole ECOWAS region
It is too delicate to say it should stay in one place because what is below the surface is not been revealed

If wagner comes in to support the junta, there is a high probability that jihadis will get in on the action

If the junta stays in place there are reports that the tauregs are already preparing a resistance

As long as that junta stays in place, there will be an actual war in Niger. Either a jihad in opposition to wagner, or a civil war between the tauregs and the tribe of the junta.

ECOWAS successful neutralization of the coup is the only hope to prevent an actual long drawn out war in the region

Hmmmm! So, either way, this js not looking good. Right?
