Do they care. The wives fend for themselves and their kids. That's why they dump the sons at Islamic schools to end up as almajiri while the daughters are married off by 10 years old. Eventually they'll find a way to write the loans off for them. Meanwhile the southern farmers hardly get access to loans or grants. If you doubt me do some research on it
