Comrades, am here again.
I have an offer for a rental.
1. Car is Corolla 05, registered almost toks.
2. Owner insisted on 40k
3. Repair less that 20k on driver plus servicing
4. Driver will drop off and pick up owner to a seminar at Ikeja 2 times every week.
5. Owner is insisting car will be parked in his house everyday and pick up every morning.

How una see am brothers.

Car owners are now being clever by half

Repairs less than 20k on driver. How many individual repairs are above 20k? cheesy

And he wants 40k?

Who would blame the car owners anyway. With the dashboards I see here, if I have a rental car in Lagos, I'll probably ask for 50k weekly.

Hey bro, my advice for you is; Buy 307 manual transmission. Check whether the brainbox is ok(very important). Peugeot can give wahala if you no Sabi am oh. I don talk finish.
Enjoy bro.

Then pls advise me, which car do u think is more affordable and easy to maintain.

Peugeots of that era used automatic gearboxes from ZF of Germany. ZF isn't known for building durable automatic gearboxes for transverse applications (front wheel drive platforms), it's best you go for a 307 with a manual transmission. There's a reason why newer Peugeots now use automatic gearboxes from aisin (Toyota's subsidiary), Even modern front wheel drive based BMWs,Volvos and Minis use aisin transmissions for their automatics.

Thanks boss

Where u dey see these kain useless offers? angry

There are some unfavourable offers u can still manage pending wen u get a good one. This is definitely not one of them.

Only take this car if;
1. U stay in thesame compound, or on the same street or same estate, or trecking distance from ur partner.
2. Partner will pay for the services of dropping him/her on the two times weekly at a fee agreed by both of u.

Then U can take d car and manage till u get a better one.

Okay thanks. I always enjoy reading your inputs concerning this job.
I'm trying to discuss further with the owner concerning parking the car in his house daily.

Thanks to bolt and Uber. Son of man finally left the country 3 days ago.

What did bolt contribute to my journey? Well, the experience isnโ€™t a waste. Plus I sold my car, same car I got because of bolt. The money was really helpful.

My target was NOT to exceed 2yrs in the hustle. I exited at exactly 1yr 6 months. So yes, bolt is indeed a stepping stone. ๐Ÿ˜

This is me wishing everyone success in their exit strategy. Keep doing your bolt hustle till it clicks. I dey Toronto, Canada. In case any pilot is based here too. ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ™Œ

Peugeot 307 is good. Just make sure it's manual and brainbox functional. Go inspection with a good Peugeot electrician before buying.
