Association of Nairaland Car dealers would say yes, like some rightly advised, visit jiji and ask your local mechanic around you, the prices in nairaland are always too outrageous.

ITS AN XLE TRIM. I THINK THAT SHOULD HAVE THE 2GRFE V6 ENGINE. THOSE ARE NOT OIL BURNERS AT ALL.

ONLY THE ISSUE OF A VERY BRIEF RATTLE ON COLD START IN SOME

No, it's not a V6 engine it's 4 cylinders

OH OK. THEN YOU MUST TREAD CAUTIOUSLY. ITS 2AZ-FE ENGINE (YEARS 2007 – 2011) ACTUALLY BURN OIL. NO CAP.

MY GUY WAS ALWAYS CARRYING OIL UPANDAN TILL HE SOLD IT. HE WOULD ALWAYS TOP UP EVERY TWO WEEKS. ASIDE HAVING TO CONSTANTLY TOP THE OIL UP, CAR WAS NEAT AND PERFECT. NO OTHER ISSUES

you can buy, but you need to always carry say about extra 3 liter oil with you between oil change. then you are good to go.

Do you mean the oil inside the engine? Because I noticed there was oil under the white container of oil

I AM TALKING OF THE OIL INSIDE THE ENGINE GETTING BURNT HENCE REDUCING THE VOLUME OF OIL IN THE ENGINE. AS A RESULT OF THAT, OVER A SHORT PERIOD OF TIME, THE OIL BECOMES DEPLETED INSIDE THE ENGINE AND YOU NEED TO TOP IT UP HENCE THE CARRYING OF EXTRA OIL ALWAYS

WELL ITS WISE TO BUY SOMETHING THAT HASN'T GOT ISSUES. YOU SHOULD INVESTIGATE IF THAT PARTICULAR ONE IS AN OIL BURNER THOUGH I DOUBT THE OWNER WILL BE ABSOLUTELY HONEST.

MANY YEARS BACK TOYOTA ISSUED A (TSB) RECALL ON THESE AND FIXED THEM. I DON'T KNOW IF THE FIX HELP UP BUT WHAT I DO KNOW IS THAT MANY OF THESE CARS (OVERSEAS) WERE NOT UNDER WARRANTY AT THE TIME OF RECALL SO THE OWNERS MAY NOT HAVE BEEN ABLE TAKING THEM IN FOR THE RECOMMENDED FIXES FROM THE MANUFACTURER.

BUT THEN AGAIN MANY DRIVE THESE AROUND AND KEEP TOPPING IT UP SOME EVERY MONTH, SOME BIMONTHLY. GENERALLY, AS THE ENGINE GETS OLDER, IT BURNS MORE OIL AND AT A FASTER RATE. SO DECIDE WELL
