Of course, they won't.
Nigeria is a big market for them.

They dare not leave, and still want to sell us the product like GSK did.
You can't take away your jobs, but still want to sell me your products.
If they leave and take away their jobs, you MUST still buy their products, otherwise produce your own.

There ar countries in Africa where Guinness do not have a factories or employs people but they still buy Guinness products they MUST buy it.

Africans has no choice they MUST buy foreign products. Because they are incapable of producing their own.

Naigeria has crude oil running through half of their lands but they still import petrol. cheesy how ironic and bizzare is that?

Naigeria is not in the position to tell Guinness how to run their company.

Did you know that many Naigerians do not even know that Guinness is a foreign company?

Shoprite's case is slightly different...they had issues with one of Nigeria's rich boys who thought they had an agreement, which they did not keep to, so he went to court, and the rest is history.

If there anything you are losing out or cannot get because shop rite left Nigeria? Thatโ€™s how you know a company that is parasitic to your economy or not.

90% of the products in shop rite are imported goods, many of them sourced or manufactured/produced in South Africa.

Nigeria Breweries says Hi....indigenous producer of beer.

That's what happens when you refine fuel at N600 and sell it at N195 for years...domestic refining becomes unattractive, and importing becomes more attractive.

True, but they also do sell a lot of Nigerian made goods (their soft drinks are all made in Nigeria, the bread and other foodstuff are made on site in Nigeria).

The management of Guinness Nigeria Plc. will like to categorically state that Guinness Nigeria has no plans to shut down its operations in Nigeria, contrary to orchestrated false allegations making the rounds.

No, na lie.

Guinness has done a rip roaring business in Nigeria for decades. Unless we run out of money totally...they are going nowhere.
The most bulletproof investment in Nigeria is Federal Govt bonds. Every other thing can take flight anytime.

I said most of their products, They also had a lot of imported drinks.

What always irked me whenever I went to shop rite was seeing realizing they were basically using shop rite to create a market for South African goods.

Bottom line is there is nothing positive shop rite brings to our economy. To make matters worse they repatriate their profits and put pressure on the Naira. All least Nigeria. Importers keep their profits In the country

People must drink alcohol.

As for GSK leaving.. they are not the first. After l PG left some years ago and Unilever is also leaving very soon.

When people vote visionless leaders. They should expect catastrophic events.

Even Chevron and spdc are preparing to downsize massively or leave completely.
