The Real Good News.. by sonmvayina(op): 7:10pm On Jun 27, 2023
The real good news is not that God sent a human sacrifice so that we no longer have to take responsibility for our own actions.

The real good news is that we can be responsible for our own actions, and not have to worry about going to hell because we believe the wrong thing, or because we didn’t pronounce the right statement of faith on our deathbed.

The real good news is that God’s Laws never required us to be sinless or perfect. That is a NT myth that miss characterizes the Torah to fit its own narrative. God requires us to be righteous, which is *not* the same as being sinless. And the righteousness that He requires of us is attainable and accessible to us. Deut 30:13-15 clearly shows us that His requirements are not too lofty for us, nor out of reach.

The real good news is that blood is not a requirement to atone for sin. God accepts our sincere repentance as atonement, as attested by several passages in the Tanakh (Lev 5:11, Num 14:20, Num 16:47, Num 31:50, 1 Sam 15:22, 2 Chr 7:14, Job 33:26, Ps 40:6, Ps 51:16-17, Prov 16:6, Prov 21:3, Isa 55:6-7, Hos 6:6, Hos 14:2).

The real good news is that, although we have a inclination to do wrong, we can rule over it (Genesis 4:7). That’s His promise to us that He has already given us the means to do so.

The real good news is that God has a covenant with Jews and with Gentiles. We don’t have to try to convert Gentile friends; if they’re righteous, they already have a place in the world to come.

The real good news is that if someone dies, and they lived a righteous life, even as a Gentile, they have a place in the world to come, even if they didn’t state the right belief statement on their deathbed.

The real good news is that we don’t have to serve God out of fear of eternal conscious torture, or fear of committing some sort of “unpardonable sin.” We can serve Him because we want to. Because we love Him.

The real good news is that G-d is merciful. We can access Him, worship Him, and pray to Him with no intermediary.

That, my friends, is real good news.

The real news is that God or the Gods have never written any holy book or created any religion.

The basis of christianity is judaism, the foundation.
To be exact, Rabbanical Judaism which are the pharisees.
