We still mount for here. Those were the glory days of Nigeria.

it's not glorydays of Nigeria anything, then you were still being fed by your parents, you didn't know what responsibility was about

For those of us who watched and suffered goose pimples from this Nigerian home-made horror movie/film please identify yourself here. Let's see how we are still brave enough till date. Indomie generation please keep off o.

The children of many families in the 1980s are well behaved. The fear of Willy Willy is the beginning of wisdom and good behaviours. Chai!,

the voice of the person singing that song is - Agbonifo Enaruna - aka IDEMUDIA of Hotel D' Jordan fame .... he just returned finally from the

the USA where he was living for the past 35 years - LEGEND

that song was so scary

Neddyogu:
Na true, I remember that pot of life film too. those were indeed scary times. I remember my older cousins draping bedsheets around their bodies pretending to be ghosts after watching wiliwili one night. Na so my dad root out cane and flogged the living daylights out of us that night. Come see cry!

once nepa take light for night and u remember pot of life - hmmmm - you no go see sleep again

onajo2000:
This still another fearful one
Pot of life came first before willy willy

very true

kay29000:
I remember Pot of Life. I think it was like a series.

Can you remember Abiku? That ogbanje girl... That was also very scary. Then there was Lynx or so, about one cat like that. And I remember one very horror movie, Evil Encounter or so... It used to scare the sh*t out of me. The bad guy wore dark shades. All these are from the 80s.

I remember Evil Encounter - I think it was on LTV (Lagos Weekend Television) Channel 8 those days around 1984/85

sacajawea:
Was he already a Lecturer then, when he played in the movie?

yes he was

Jewessgratitud3:
It was very scary that year and NTA didn't do well by showing it at midnight which made it more scary.

I watched it recently and noticed how poor filming was back then in Nigeria compared to today. The visuals and audio are of very poor quality. We have come a long way in the filming industry.

Nostalgic!

We will watch today's movie in twenty , thirty years time and be asking ourselves how bad the quality is. This is life. Life goes on

Oblongata:
'Witch doctor of the living dead' was another one

You sabi! This one had zombies eating peoples intestines. It was mad!

DMerciful:
Willy willy don die
Na who kill am?
Na shele kill am
Clap for shele x 2 (don't know if I remember the shele name well)

I can't remember what channel showed it, all I know is it was really scare to me at that age. That's why I can still remember the name. I wish there was a place to watch these old movies/series.

Kia, I remember back than how my elder brother will always eat my food so as to escort me to the bedroom at night if am sent to go get something... 🙆

sacajawea:
And You must be married with Children now, right?

Yes of course.

I can't believe this was what scared me as a kid, if God wan catch you, make nepa take light after watching Willie willie

ogbonti:
willie willie was no the first - horror movie in Nigeria

I think it was "POT OF LIFE" which was produced by NTA Benin around 1981/82

If you see what "Aimiuwu" - the virgin girl went through when going to the "Land of the dead" to retrieve the pot of life for the sick Oba

you will know that "willie willie" dey learn

----- you will see the casket open, "ENTER MEEEEEEEEE ENTER MEEEEEEEEE..... I AM RICHER THAN YOU FATHER"

when you see skeleton dey talk you go piss for body as a kid then - you will freeze .. and the songs too

was not helping matters .....

O YES!

POT OF LIFE!!

I REMEMBER IT NOW O!

SCARED ME TO MY BONES.

That was the period ppl combined songs, dance, and poetry with film making. Creativity was at another level.
