Report the account number to the Bank. Also report to the police. Preferably State CID.

Na una Lose guard sha, I only order things online from Jumia and Aliexpress, anything from that I don't do.
If I see something online, I just screenshot it and search for it on Aliexpress

And besides, Amai is not far from Abraka, 2k to Abraka to get the kind of phone you want could have saved you from this stress.

Best thing is to go to the shop ie slot.ng and buy. They also do delivery, but as your place is remote, that is another wahala.
Unfortunately, the chances of getting you money back is hard, time consuming and may cost you abit.
Same thing they did my mama 2 months ago on Instagram. One so called farm she ordered stuff from. They chopped her 75k. This is despite all the warning we have given her. Well, I told her they have run her street, say next time I go seize her phone buy her Nokia touch.
If na those days, I for chase the crook try recover her money. But now, man don old small.
Basically be careful next time.

Use another account to reach out to the user, tell him that you would like to use him as a reseller and want to deliver some goods (phones). Praise him for his influence and all that... Be serious, show proof that you have the goods and tell him how you would deliver it to him, act like a fool and say if he can sell 10 or 20, you would give him more... Make inquiry if he sells laptops or just anything to draw his attention.
If you can get the delivery address for a meet up, good otherwise it is difficult. sad
she should not do it now as e dey hot. I will suggest u don't chat or call him again for like a month before u chat or call him with another number.

Good day everyone.

At this point, I have no other option than to put this out here, and I pray I get a solution from here.

A friend ordered and paid for a phone and the vendor blocked her instead of delivering the phone.

I saw a post on Twitter where @Xiaomi_nigeria announced a reduction in the prices of Redmi 12C all through August.

A friend has been saving to get a phone, so I forwarded the post to her to see if she would be interested.
She got interested and I asked around for vendors online as we currently serve (we are corp members) in a remote village far away from any city where it is possible to get the phone in a store.
You and your friend are big Mugu...

It's all these online scammers that make people scared of online goods and services.

Whenever you just hear, "our vehicle broke down and needs to be fixed", just know that they're scammers.
Same lie they told my brother when he paid for a labtop, they even asked for money to fix the vehicle. My naive brother gave it to them even after I told him no, as if he was hypnotized.

Before my brother paid that money, I had a bad feeling and my heart was beating fast, I told him not to pay the money and let our father get it for him on his next travel but my brother was stubborn.

You'll never hear that you bought a good from Jumia but it didn't get to you.
They'll surely deliver.

As there are scammers online, there are also legit people online.
Just follow your inner voice.
is not a problem ordering something online, pay on delivery is the best way to go

And you think he's as foolish as the OP!?, person wey dey use cutlass kill no dey like cutlass to go near him back!, this your idea is smart but he won't fall for it!

Hmm OP sorry about your ordeal. Follow the steps someone shared about copying the CBN anti-corruption desk when you mail his bank. And keep following up with reminder mails. The scammer will contact you when PND is placed on his account.

About the debate on pay on delivery. I sell mattresses and I gladly turn down people who ask for pay on delivery. If you can't visit the store, you will pay at least a deposit of 5k before goods leave the store, so we are assured that you are committed to the transaction. I did pay on delivery for a useless human being who decided to change his mind and switch off his phone after delivery guy had gone out. Had to pay for delivery guy carrying mattress to and fro and no money was made. Second time, the mattress got to the idiot and he started negotiations all over again, cos he felt I won't have a choice. I had to pay the delivery guy for his service again on this occasion despite no money being made from the botched transaction. Since then, any prospect that can't visit the store and can't make a deposit before goods leave the store are free to go fuuurk themselves!
na so the thing be for Nigeria be dat they're even bad customer also who try to scam the seller how on earth will have a rethink mafter negotiating already

You can report this scam through your bank, you will be required to fill a charge back form.

Ultimately, his BVN will be blacklisted and placed on post no bill. However this is based on your strong evidence.

the fact u stay in a remote village bcis of nysc doesn't mean u can't get any trusted friend or family members to go to a physical outlet or this guys outlet to pick the fone on ur behalf and send it to u rather than trusting an online vendor who u don't know if he's still into the business or became a fraudster.

On Monday, he blocked my friend on Twitter, stopped responding to her messages on WhatsApp, and stopped picking up her calls.

He has also since then blocked me on WhatsApp, and stopped responding to my message.

Attached is a picture of him I got off Twitter

This is his phone number +2347047143584.
According to his bio, his shop is located at No 7 Royal Market Road, Equare, Ekpoma.
Fell for the trick 2021. Wanted to surprise babe with iphone 8. Thought i had found a good bargain. Sent half first, evening no delivery, they told me to send the balance and i did. No be jazz. No be OP fault too. Not the first time i was buying something online. Red flag i should have noticed was it was on fb marketplace. Long story short, there was nothing i could do. Those guys are cunny, they lured me with an insanely should be wary of price. Bank couldn't do anything. They only filed a fraud report. That can't bring your money back.

The account number belongs to a northerner. Prolly bureau de change. It can't be tracked. The profile is fake too. The innocent person on the dp knows nothing. It was picked randomly from the internet. They stop picking your calls and block all unknown numbers. Eventually you'll succumb and if you're not careful, self doubt or denial would affect your mental health and personal life.

Person wey i wan buy phone for no even worry. She said i should forget about the money, and i did. Next animation cash out, didn't get her the iPhone again, she manage android bebe.

Bro put it aside. Don't look back. You're not a fool, it's the dubious one's that are. On top how much, you scam your fellow Nigerian. It is well. Reason why i heavily despise fraudsters in my neighborhood and online , they've stopped so low to such mindset. I pity their old age.

Take heart. Ciao🤗
