Real estate investing is still a fail proof business in Nigeria. Just do your due diligence and buy lands in areas that would develop in 10 years or less and you can get as high as 200% ROI in 5 years. That return is a normal one in real estate investing. No need to create hostels or hotels. Just buy land and wait for it to appreciate.

Nice thread you have here and your response to the question of how you built your wealth. I'm genuinely curious, how has your investments in Nigeria gone so far? I'm also outside Nigeria, but due to the economy and insecurity in some parts of the country, I'm wary about ploughing in dollars, except maybe an export driven business.
