Imo state is the problem of igboland.

Imo state people brought ipob terrorism in igboland. Today your governor uzodimma has been living in Abuja because you people turned your state into Afghanistan

Your first highlighted statement is CORRECT; though I don't like the way you spam this thread.
It's 46 years Imo state was created; the state has been building only state capital. No other major town in Imo state is allowed to see modern development. Every government establishment in Owerri.
Each of the other 4 states in the SE have beautiful state capital and other beautiful cities in the same state, with government establishments spread in all the major towns and LGAs in each state.
Imo is the least developed state in Igboland. Imo of Owerri only.
Imo State is the problem of Igboland indeed. Primitive greed of Owerri section of Imo state is behind the underdevelopment of Imo state.

See them spewing their envy and bitterness. Anambra is not the reason imo state is cursed and backward. Anambra is not the reason ipob terrorists have taken imo state as its headquarters because millions of imo indigenes are into ipob terrorism. Millions of imo indigenes ran to Anambra to live in search of greener pasture, very soon you all will be deported back to your useless backward imo state

Imo people are cursed and devilish, no wonder other igbos don’t live in imo state, but imo indigenes prefer to live in Anambra or Enugu states. Infact most imo indigenes live in Onitsha, why are they not going back to their useless cursed state if Anambra is not good to you ingrates. Ediot that was deceiving himself that he is from Anambra. Go and do something with your miserable life, Anambra people are not the reason imo people are useless and backward. If you people continue like this millions of imo indigenes living in Onitsha will be deported. Bunch ediots

You are the one that’s full of envy, bitterness, hate and frustration. You live on bitterness, envy, frustration and hate 24/7, that’s why you are always on any matter that concerns Anambra. You even lied you are from Anambra and when you were busted you got angry and started posting useless video of another useless envious bitter hateful miscreant that’s equally from useless backward imo state like you even though his parents are living in Onitsha. Imo state people will continue to be below Anambra people because God made it so. You care about Anambra that’s why it forms 99% of your posts on nairaland. Go and get a job and be useful to your useless self and poor hopeless parents because the kind of hate you exude can only explain how jobless miserable and frustrated you are in life. I am the only one that fits you people.

Imo state failed woefully as a state, for instance the substandard flyover Okorocha built in center of Owerri has been turned into a market and motorpark , filth and rubbish littering everywhere. Uzodimma has failed imo state, imo state needs to get it right like Anambra, even Abia has elected a technocrat, while imo state has been electing 419 and fraudsters since 1999

Leadership is a gift from birth not a thing of technocrat. Imo is better than Anambra in terms of governance and the evidence is there for you or anyone to see. Hope Uzodinma would have been a great Governor if he didn't mismanage the early stage of insecurity which put the people at loggerheads with him. When people were shot at Lekki, Sanwo Olu absolved himself by saying he wasn't in control of the Armed Forces whereas Uzodinma boasted he bombed Orlu. By doing so the people who lost loved ones as collateral damage believe he killed them and decleared war on them. So if you remove that mistake Uzodinma would have been one of the leading Governors presently in Southeast.

Now the reason Anambra enjoys positive media review is because people of Anambra origin are doing well in other parts of Nigeria and the world but never about the good state of the cities and towns in the State. Most relatively good schools and Hospitals in Anambra are owned by Churches not Government so what exactly have the Governors been doing?

Leadership has failed in imo state, face reality and stop deceiving yourself gworo man.

Anambra is doing by far better than imo in all facets of development; in infrastructure, educations, social amenities, etc, the difference is clear in all parameters.

Again, people tend to migrate to a better society and better states. The population of imo indigenes living in Onitsha alone is in millions, but you can hardly see nor hear of any one from Anambra living anywhere in imo state not to talk of Owerri. Anambra has good state than imo state. Anambra has better cities than imo state. Anambra has better schools than imo state. Anambra has better hospitals than imo state.

Anambra has better airport than imo state. Anambra has better international convention centre than imo state. Anambra has large industrial complexes than imo state.

In terms of overall governance, imo state is by far below Anambra in all indices of development. Education used to be the strongest point of imo state but they have since lost that lone ground.

Anambra government is financing schools and hospitals both missions and public, infact most schools in Anambra are run by the mission while government finance them. So what’s your own government in imo state doing with funds when most schools, hospitals, roads, etc, are in bad shape ?

There’s virtually no where imo state is doing better than any state. So shut up and stop spewing nonsense

If the bolded is your logic then Anambra is the worst place on earth since the Anambra natives are the most migrated people in Africa. They hardly live in their State and even the beautiful houses built with diaspora money lay empty year in year out. Imo people like other Igbos also migrate but the villages are well populated by natives until the recent insecurity

If that’s your logic then imo state is ‘the WORSTEST’ place on earth because most indigenes prefer to live in Anambra and invest in Anambra than ever live nor invest in imo state.

At least Anambra is by far the most populous state in igboland, which means that Anambra population and migrants population made that possible.

Imo people hardly live in imo state. Some areas in Onitsha is like an extension of imo state because of huge population of imo indigenes in the city. Imo state is like an abandoned state, they are always running away from their state.

Imo indigenes are running to other states but no one is going to imo state, that’s enough point to prove to you how backward useless and worthless imo state is.

You de try too. Because it's not in Owerri is reason for your pessimism.
Similar roads in Owerri had been reconstructed about thrice to four times since Imo state was created. These roads outside Owerri remain in their ECS days.
Pls allow rest of Imo state outside Owerri to breath.
The state library in Owerri was established by the ECS government in Enugu. More than 40 years after Imo state was created with Owerri as state capital, no State Library exists in Orlu and other cities in Imo state.

Despite that, Hope Uzodinma is still a mediocre. No major projects after 4 years in office. Now, he wants people to vote for him again.

I must be honest with you. The only reason I don't want Uzodinma for 2nd tenure is that he lacks ability to gain the trust of the people for peaceful resolution of insecurity because of his earlier mistakes in handling the challenge. Apart from that mistake and some politically motivated actions Uzodinma is trying. In infrastructure he has made his marks that cannot be forgotten soon.

What are those marks?

Marking the roads in Owerri, installing traffic lights and inviting Buhari to come and commission them?

Just imagine this Okpoko opportunist. He is even claiming that his people who are living in Okpoko own the whole 4-6 story building in Anambra...Laughable.

This video just showed how jobless and hungry the blogger is over there.

My dear, Anambra men are not proud; rather they have high self-esteem with sense of contentment, and never allow anything undermine this overwhelming dominance.

WHAT DO YOU THINK THE eagle IN ANAMBRA STATE COAT OF ARM/LOGO STAND FOR??

EAGLE (UGO DI EBUBE): -Ugo di ebube stands for Royalty, Pride and Excellence in Igbo cosmology. No other bird typifies the Anambra person better than the Royal Eagle.

NKWUNKWU in Igbo cosmology denotes plenty. The pair here represent the wealth of talents that abound in both the male and female citizens of Anambra.

THE NIGER BRIDGE: – This engineering artistry is iconic. The Niger bridge symbolizes the gateway into the heart of the Igbo nation.

IGWEBUIKE.. the 21 active currents…Symbolises our 21 local government areas. This represents the continuous developmental energy of our people

OKIKEOKIKE: – symbolizes dignity, honour, nobility. It is positioned at the base because the foundation of our aspirations is based on the time honoured igbo tradition of truth, honesty and hardwork…..the tapestry on each of the tusks symbolizes the industry, dexterity and creative essence that lead to the height of our achievements.

THE PENNY: – The round coin under the roped pot is the penny of the old days. The penny sign stands for Aku na Uba. We are proud business and craft men who travel around the world doing business…..The circle at the centre of the penny shows our continuing readiness to put at the centre of all our action, God Almighty who is depicted here by a circle – having neither beginning nor an ending.

THE ROPED POT: – The Roped Pot symbolizes the art of metal works among our people. It also represents the history and success of this ancient art.

Ugu leaves and blooming petals of sunflower..Symbolise our prosperity in agriculture and a hearty and cheerful people

Umuahia is a nice town. For seeing to the roads of Aba,
Gov Otti is not like Rochas Okorocha and Hope Uzodinma who said respectively that they were building Owerri to "International standards;" and to "designer's delight;" reduced other urban towns of Imo state to rural areas, because they don't originate from those urban towns; two men who don't understand the importance of uniform development in a state; two men who believe that state was created for development of only the state capital by state governors.
A visitor to Imo state will not believe that Owerri belongs to the same state with Orlu and Okigwe, no thanks to Rochas Okorocha and Hope Uzodinma.
