The legal implication is that it is now clear that Abuja has a special status and that is why any Minister of Nigeria origin can man the position.

If Abuja doesn't have special status, FCT position would have been strictly reserved for the natives of Abuja.

25% Compulsory and all eyes on the judiciary.

Though, with the current revelations of the actual foreign reserve, I don't encourage Obi to continue the fight, he should leave them to crash the country completely so all man can find their way.

This is weird seeing that no notice of Abuja has ever been FCT minister.

Wike is just the first southerner to attain that position

Are you saying a non - indigene cannot be the gov of a state? Is there any law to that effect in the constitution? Don't you people say Tinubu was from Osun ? Yet he became gov in Lagos. Many people from other states served as commissioners in Lagos eg Aregbesola, Ben Akabueze, etc. Even during the military era govs did not govern their native states eg Buba Marwa of NDLEA was gov in Lagos even though his state is Borno.

If Abuja is an ordinary state according to Agbadorians, then they should never be allowed to become FCT Minister. cool

You are very ignorant of the section of the constitution that states that any resident of any state is legible to contest for any elective post in that state. A native of Abia resident in Sokoto has the legal right to contest for governor and vice versa. You're a very ignorant fellow

Did Wike contest for FCT minister
Is that an elective position or appointment?

FCT is a ministry and not a state and that's why it has a minister .

FCT minister does not have governorship powers like a governor as he or she can not sign laws into existence.

FCT is not a state but a ministerial development area .
