Snyder is an excellent director when it comes to visuals and highly entertaining action sequences.

But the writing in his movies dey get k-leg sometimes.

I really need him to pick and undisputable dub with this. I low-key feel this is a make or break film at this stage in his career. Whether he'll ever truly ascend to the level of the greats or just remain on the "massively underrated" list is up to this movie.

Him and Kurt Johnstad did 300, so I'm hoping they bring the genius of the first movie while dropping the mistakes of the second. Shay Hatten was his partner on Army of the Dead and I pray they both get their lapses checked by Johnstad so none of the leaks in AotD repeat here.

Been hearing people say that this movie is the best movie of the year.

Lol, funny enough, I made this list two days ago before Rebel Moon's teaser yesterday. Forgot to post since I'm hardly online here these last few days.
And yet after the teaser trailer I'm not moved to change my mind.

Not really so impressed by the Zack Snyder #RebelMoon movie trailer asides it's impeccable visuals & CGI as well as action.
Besides the action, I don't seem invested in the movie storywise. There's no wow factor or something pulling me in... the acting from the clips I could glean seemed just decent and unconvincing to me.

The film is literally filled with unknowns and a few actors I hardly care about. The only dependable and talented actor there is Anthony Hopkins whom I recognised his voice for the voiceover prologue in the trailer. So my interest taste buds are hardly having any appetite for it.


So it's not moving up my priority list. I'll watch it nevertheless but it ain't as hotly anticipated as I am for these ones up there.
Will give the film the benefit of the doubt tho till it's out.

Musicals are not my thing

No Hard Feelings..... 6.5/10

Very entertaining romance comedy. Good laughs, nice jokes and well rounded acting.

Jennifer Lawrence is still pretty hot tho the tits ain't as shapely as expected.
Don't know if she was suffering a midlife crisis agreeing to do that scene cos shït was weird and funny. Nude scene just wasted.... Wetin dem for use in za oza room.

Points deducted for the stupid director not allowing them both to bang.

Cidade de Deus AKA City of God(2002):9/10
Genre: Crime, Drama.

A must watch, if you haven't seen it. A powerful story, loosely based on actual events . The depiction of the gruesome, gut wrenching, unforgiving violence by kids against kids on the streets of Rio Janeiro is next to none, thus, making moving pictures like this not easily forgotten. For a movie made in 2002, the cinematography was awesome, the music scores great.

This in my books has to be one of the best contemporary movies ever made.

Lol, it was mainly cos of the director Damian Chazelle and Ryan Gosling that made me add the film to my watchlist several weeks ago. But to download and watch am na problem anytime I remember it's a full fledged musical through and through.
Same with the Greatest Showman which I've had on my phone for several months now.

Try and see it, the movie was nothing short of great.. infact, it's that kind of movie that sticks to your memory after seeing it. The story was captivating, the pictures were amazing..

I just hope they don't mess up the series.

It was really cool to see Grant Gustin outside the Flash series, dude is one heck of a clown😂😂

You should, La La Land was the reason I began to venture into musicals like sound of music and the wizard of Oz, I'm not the greatest fan of musicals but can appreciateI its form. Did you like Babylon?
