They have realised that the old meter doesn't consume power like the New one,that is the main reason.
It is not because of meter not taking any code,the code issue has been resolved.
They said they are not increasing tariff but want to do so from the back door.

If you want to confirm write to the manufacturer of the old meter and ask them why they feel our disco would want to change the meters

why cant they come to the house to input the codes into the meter, taking it away might mean you having to drop something to have it back after the upgrade.

When we allow them rob us of subsidy to sustain their fake lifestyle of buying prados and giving us 3 cups of garri in return why would they not want to rob us of power? If you have ever been on estimated billing you would understand the trick here ,they can give you any amount as charges and tell you to go to hell.

you know nothing about sector, this meter they want to retrieve if you do your finding very well it's a meter customer bought during the PHCN period before privatization and the meter is not consuming unit like the one the customer bought from the DISCOS. Do your findings very well before blaming the customers.
