Some one is seeking for some male attention, you are wasting your time obliging her.

You shoulda known.

I know. If I'm not mistaken, she's the same PunkyVeer/PunkV from years ago who was always a nuisance even then, and got virtually whipped for it every time.

I countered her for the same reason(s) I counter such obvious misinformation - for the SEO value of Nairaland offers and to checkmate falsehoods like hers being referenced as 'evidence' going forward.

Points made so she can keep ranting with her junkie partner.

Riquelme and Fillol no suppose dey this list.
Dunga or Gilberto SIlva should replace him. I'm not even sure Zico should be there over a Ronaldinho.
Fillol over the Iconic Dida is a criminal offence. Lucio >> Pasarella

Who born Lucio papa well to be there instead of Pasarella? If you remove Beckenbaeur, Baresi, Maldini then the next name is probably Pasarella and Figueroa is not far behind.

For Goalkeeper Fillol, Dida, Taffarel, Chilavert, Gilmar etc. Choosing any of the others over Dida is not a crime. For instance Chilavert who played in the same generation as Dida but was a few years older was obviously a better keeper.

Initially I was willing to give him benefit of doubt hoping it was an innocent mistake . Seeing how he brought his source material and then refused to edit the falsehood when fact on the source material was pointed out to him shows his ulterior motives like Raumdeuter suggested . omo ! 🤔

How exactly did we fail the first methodology?
.

You failed the first methodology because you simply don't pay Government unemployment benefits, therefore have no real barometer

So obviously our unemployment is measured by survey, and any survey producing 4% in Nigeria is fit for the dustbin

This is the reality . I don’t know why anybody will choose to lie to himself and believe the 4% gibberish .

Almost every 3 months now thousands of youths pass out of NYSC with little or no employment opportunities waiting for them , farmers are getting sacked by bandits and terrorists in the north , international brands are living the country due to the lull in the economy….. Yet someone wants to argue the unemployment rate is in line with global beat practices . Smh 🤦‍♂️

Some are losing their jobs due to the ensuing layoffs caused by the harsh economic conditions.

Anyway there is no need explaining these things to some one who's staking his life to defend a party.

The evidence is everywhere in our own very eyes.

Wow. This is a very good breakdown. This shows Nigerians are very hardworking. The major concern is underemployment.

Most of us are underemployed. Working poor, not seeing good return on investment in our education. Working below our economic need and all.

Most people will like to work for more than 5/ 6 hours a week but can't because the job ain't available. We all need money, most people will take any job regardless ( major cut in pay) , far below their potential and skills.

Looking at the informal sector and self employed of that statistics somehow paint a true reflection of things in Nigeria.

Is like a rat race. Most of us are living from paycheck to paycheck. Hopefully, things will get better someday.

Loan to loan actually.

I have lost count of the number of people I know who have moved their salary account to GTB just so they can access the one year and salary advance loan.

Except hard data does not care about anyone feelings or emotions.

By international measure unemployment is termed those who works zero hours weekly.

4 % unemployed simply means 192m from the 200m Nigerians are employed.....

For this country?

Even if agbero, kidnapping.UGM,bandit and BH were considered as employment route,we still would not make 30%.

You are asking the Wrong Questions.

The Question you should be asking is why do we have such a high number of people categorised as informally employed.

We will get to get.
The original question remains..

Do you believe the unemployment figures?

There was pandemonium on Wednesday at the Oshodi/Isolo local government secretariat, venue of the palliative distribution organized by the chairman of the local government, Kehinde Oloyede Almaroof.

Thousands of people had thronged the venue to receive food items from the the council chairman to cushion the effect of the fuel subsidy removal, however the situation turned chaotic, almost leading to a stampede.
The palliatives, which included gift packs, yams, eggs, plantain among other items, were to be shared among the residents of the council area irrespective of their political, religious, or tribal affiliations.

Each gift pack was said to have included a package of rice, beans groundnut oil and tomato paste.

It was gathered from eyewitnesses that people started arriving the venue as early as 6.30am for the event billed to start by 9am.

The event, tagged “Greater Oshodi Food Bank”, however, did not start until a few minutes to 11am .
It was learnt that trouble started immediately after the first set of people, mostly elderly people, received their rations as there was no proper information on how the distribution was going to be done.

The restive and compressed crowd got excited and people at the tail of the line started pushing for fear that the items might not go round.

The organisers were swiftly overwhelmed and then it all kicked off, several women fell to the ground and suffered injuries while others ran over them.

The confusion lasted for two hours as security guards including military officers beat back hundreds of people rushing to take their own packs.

A security official in the council, who spoke to our correspondent on condition of anonymity because he was not authorised to speak on the matter, confirmed that there were casualties during the rush .

He was, however, silent on whether there were fatalities among the casualties.

Even if na one spoon of rice, is there no organised way for the government to share anything?

Every single time, they assemble thousands of people with no clear cut plan to distribute.

It was when i did my Voters card that i knew stampede fit kill.

We really need to improve for once in our entire existence

there are forces in this country that ensure the status quo always remain the same.

I'm telling you whatever plan or bright idea the government come up with will always fall flat. The people benefitting from the current abysmal state the country is in will forever do whatever it takes to make sure things remain the same, because that is what put food in their stomach.

It seems like some individuals enjoy arguing just for the sake of it. Logically and in every other sense, Nigeria's reported unemployment rate being 4% is impossible. Even though the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) presented this figure, it's hard to accept it as true, and I think most rational people would agree. Supporting the ruling APC doesn't mean blindly endorsing every statement or overlooking obvious flaws from the government or it's agencies.. Critiquing these matters is essential, but I anticipate that you might use my words to continue your sentimental amala turning. Nonetheless, I won't engage in further replies.

I’m not going to engage in an argument that leads no where.

Your argument is from an emotional stand point, I’m arguing from a data perspective.

My Good advice to you is to read the report and understand it before trying to make sense of it, otherwise all you are saying here is meaningless ranting.

How exactly do you think most countries measure their unemployment rate?

The USA uses the same survey just like Nigeria and other countries, only differences is they measure 60,000 households and Nigeria measure 35,000 households.

The only thing Nigeria did was adopt international ILO standard in measuring unemployment rate, just as other countries are doing. So I don’t exactly know what this your postulation is about.
