Do you know the name of this fruit? In Igbo it is called ugiri and the seed is what is used to make ogbono soup you enjoy. You can eat the back just like apple the the seed is dried and blended for ogbono soup. Is God not wonderful?

Good. Very delicious delicacy when properly prepared. The killer combo is when you add dried fish to it. Fresh fish too is a combo on its own together with beef. |

My grandma had so many of the tree in her compound. In the morning, we'll go and pick the ones that have fallen on the floor then break it and dry the seed. How time flies. Nigeria would be great again. This I have seen. |

I like ogbono die. But I don't like the fact that a cup of ogbono is three times costlier than a cup of egusi. So most times I just change my mind and go for egusi or even okro sef, but whenever money plenty for pocket I just go for ogbono. |

Op, ugiri is not ogbono in my town. They are different trees. U can eat the fruit of ugiri but ogbono fruit is inedible. Ogbono draws when used to prepare soup, but ugiri doesn't draw that much. |

Average Nigerian is a glutton. Go to any buka joint and see how men devour swallow using all their five fingers including palm to cut out a very big morsel while squeezing it repeatedly, then divide it to smaller portions, all being held within their palms while they take them in in turns, omoor, that thing irritates me. |

I've always known this for a fact. But I don't like Ogbono soup or any draw soup for that matter. He popped fifty balloons all at once and this happened. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h8AIT0cOMAI?si=JU5sJgAATEbzP3jV |
