The problem really atarted from OBJ who waa sold the idea of banning cement imports in the belief that the country could be self sufficient in it. He never saw he was simply satisfying someone's greed.

Cement isn't the kind of product you bamn as it#s the price is very sensitive to transport cost. A lot of imported cement might become uncompetitive once transported far from the ports.

That's why cement plants are located close to limestone deposits.

obj offered more than one person the leeway into local cement production and cannot be blamed for lack of competition in cement pricing. Generally Nigerians are good at price inflation practices.

but nnpc gave him license to import fuel after the commissioning of the refinery and he didn't build the refinery with his money,it was government money all along,thank God for that expose on Twitter.....the man is smart but a monopoly can never last in any economy.

Successive governments has given him too much power,a government will come in and put a stop to it.
