Reinaldo:are you normal, it's on the juntas and not the federal government of nigeria. If the junta are not compassionate and humane enough to relinquish their power for the babies in her countries to survive why should Nigerians be bothered ![]() If tinubu is heartless, how about the Niger govt that doesn't care about her own citizens? |

He should beg the Niger junta to return to democratic rule. The Nigerian government are not been wicked and have nothing to do with their death. If the Niger government are that sympathetic the Junta should build their own power plant. |

I just hope this does not come back to bite us. When agreeing to a treaty that neighboring countries should not dam the river Niger, the condition was for Nigeria to provide power to those countries. There was no talk of us weaponizing it against them in the future. Now, other countries would think it twice about us using a future condition to break off our agreements. A similar scenario was previous 2014 sanctions against Russia which made Russia prepare to immunize itself against future American and European sanctions. This came in handy during the Ukrainian invasion. Future impact of our action might be seen. Sooner or later. |

UnusualEmissary:The coup leaders are actually fighting to be free from western powers - France. You can see that since they gained "independence" from France, they have not been truly independent. I wish Nigeria had taken a different position on this matter. After all these is done and the foreigners are gone, we will have enemies within the house because of what we did. Niger Republic are our brothers. |

That’s the result you get when the imperialists hoodwinked you to turn on your fellow brothers. But you’ll never see western countries sanction themselves whenever they commit an unprovoked act of atrocities against a sovereign country. Only time will tell when African leaders will begin to look inwards and open their dormant brains. |

OLAADEGBU:FFK Dey mad for him head, Niger govt that initially bridged the agreement of not setting up their own power grid, Bezzoum was building their power plants secretly despite agreement with Nigeria, come to think of it we do not have our own constant supply for our citizens you’re talking about giving someone else, the military Junta should provide source of electricity to power their hospitals |

If the coupist succeed and hand over to civilians of thier chioce, na we go suffer am o! Because if they decide to build their own dam on the River Niger we go hear whiii |

aQUINandmore:Whose interest is Nigeria fostering by cutting off their energy supply? Niger Republic are our African brothers. Whatever we do here should be for their benefit first and foremost. Foreign interest of France and US is second place. They will come and go. When all is said and done, we are the ones that solves our own issues. This same Niger Republic helped in the fight against Boko Haram, even when US refused to give us weapons. Its like you fighting your brother because of an outsider. Win or lose, the outsider loses nothing. You and your brother become enemies over something that benefits only the outsider. |

FFK is right on this, the president should lift all sanctions against Niger Republic because these sanctions have caused more harm to Niger people than the coup itself. |
