It is not hypocrisy, obviously they're on contract with the Nigeria Government, so the terms could say 24hours , how they distribute it should be there business.. We have enough generating capacity but transmission is always the challenge.

He should beg the Niger junta to return to democratic rule. The Nigerian government are not been wicked and have nothing to do with their death. If the Niger government are that sympathetic the Junta should build their own power plant.

I just hope this does not come back to bite us. When agreeing to a treaty that neighboring countries should not dam the river Niger, the condition was for Nigeria to provide power to those countries. There was no talk of us weaponizing it against them in the future.

Now, other countries would think it twice about us using a future condition to break off our agreements.

A similar scenario was previous 2014 sanctions against Russia which made Russia prepare to immunize itself against future American and European sanctions. This came in handy during the Ukrainian invasion.

Whose interest is Nigeria fostering by cutting off their energy supply? Niger Republic are our African brothers. Whatever we do here should be for their benefit first and foremost. Foreign interest of France and US is second place. They will come and go. When all is said and done, we are the ones that solves our own issues. This same Niger Republic helped in the fight against Boko Haram, even when US refused to give us weapons. Its like you fighting your brother because of an outsider. Win or lose, the outsider loses nothing. You and your brother become enemies over something that benefits only the outsider.
