You're resident in Lagos and do business or live around CMS, Marina or Oshodi, You can sincerely and boldly state that This project is not even 20% complete. Just as Dangote Refinery, this's terrible 😔

This is not a molue or BRT the train was test driven some months back and all loose ends and other finishing has to be put in place for better performance and reliability…

Talking like Nigeria is the first country in the world to use a train. grin

They have been building this thing for 20 years now.

What the loose ends and "other finishing" that "has to be put in place for better performance and reliability"?

All the metro lane are been managed by private entities

sonature1:
Congratulations, Lagosians!

They should ensure a private company manages it.

Well done, Governor Sanwo-Olu

Please make sure you extend it to the island soon to significantly reduce traffic gridlock in that corridor.

Did this blue rail not start operations before?

It was a test run/operation. It has never been opened to the public. It has not started operations until any process is fully opened to the public for which it is intended.

Do some of you people even understand the complexity of such operations? Don't forget that the trains used in Lagos were initially meant for Madison, Wisconsin. They couldn't get the project off the ground after spending millions of dollars to start the project; that's why the coaches ended up in Lagos.
Many such large operations always have cost overruns and delays.
Los Angeles's underground train system has been under construction for decades, and the cost has gone from 1B to only God knows how much now, and still not completed.
Also, the California train project has gone from 33B in 2008 to 128B in 2023. You can hardly find any project anywhere in the world without delays or cost overruns.

https://www.constructiondive.com/news/california-high-speed-rail-cost-jumps-to-128b/645269/

What matters is that the project is coming alive very soon, and I can't wait to ride the train system.

In building systems like rail systems, we must take into cognizance the menace of iron thieves, especially those bola boys, posing as scavengers but destroying and stealing critical infrastructure, they must be serious monitoring and raiding of bola scrap depot's, they must be registered and regulated, most of them encouraging the stealing of these iron parts, they don't even ask or care where the iron is coming from.

What exposure? The bloomberg freelancer trying to become an Amanpour by telling brazen lies. The "train to nowhere" goes from the airport to the Abuja metropolis. Which one is the "nowhere?" Is it the airport or the Abuja metropolis?

What astounds me about you is the indiscriminate way you pick stories to jump on. Any story is valuable so long it paints the FGN in bad light.

You are too easily satisfied. Be more discerning - then your attacks might make sense.
