Dont go this route of criticism at all. It is close to the right pricing for convenience and effectiveness. Danfo bus that can break down on the road and the driver and conductor can disappear.

Still more expensive than danfo on same route. grin grin grin grin angry

The price is very high. Rail transportation is cheaper than road transportation. Why always exploit the poor and the depressed?

Will your N100 bus have A.C?
Will you be sitter comfortably on your N100 bus, will you be able to charge your phone one your N100 bus?
Will you be able to move at the speed of the train and avoid traffic on your N100 bus?.
Everything sometimes is not about cost difference.
My boss once told me to abandon a flight I ready booked and booked another, it was just about 3 hours apart, on arrival in Lagos he paid me for the flight but he said he wanted me to learn a vital lesson. He said "money can buy time, buy time whenever you can".
Right now I only get on the next available flight, doesn't matter the cost.

Comfort and time are extremely important

How many percent will your battery charged for a trip that's less than 5 min by bus and the train will lesser than 3.lagos to Marina is not up to 10 min.moreover the highest patronage will come from traders come to Orile in morning see them waiting for bus with less prices or evening at ebute ero their less concern about the AC these are people that hustle in sun and rain

U can use another means of transportation sir, there's marwa and korope from mile 2 to alaba

We are telling you that the price is even higher than the commercial bus you are saying he should use another means. Why are we like this in Nigeria especially LAGOS? BRT red bus was 250 Lagos state increased to 500 then red bus increased theirs to 400. govt set the pace private follow. I pity una because at last it will go round since una no want hear word

Though true but not this kind of project. Will a salary earner working on that axis be able to afford that compared to the commercial bus? Flight is already for the upper class so not a good example to use though lessons Can be learnt.

More so not all lessons are transferable into another context. Please let's learn how to learn.

Do they have the same infrastructure and staff overhead outlays. For every train on the track, there is about 25-30 staff costs associated. What about spare parts and maintenace costs?

Unsustainable pricing. Govt should stop acting as father Christmas and allow private companies manage things like this. At the end of the year, they'll tell us they lost N10bn of taxpayers' money, because of their poor, unsustainable business model.
Public transportation is social amenity and should not be judged solely on profit and loss. Also the business transactions that result directly and indirectly from an efficient transportation system usually compensates for the loss. It is hard for a private organization to run train network because it is hard to make it profitable, thus leading to inefficiency and bankruptcy. A public-private-partnership is a much better alternative.

No where in the world is train cheaper than road transportation. Not in the Uk, Europe, India, US or even China.

This is because train is judge investment to build and maintain. The truth is that the pricing is not sustainable to even maintain it talkless of recovering investment unless the Lagos state government plans on funding it from somewhere else.
The Lagos State Govt is presently subsidizing the Fare

Foolishness will never let you know that your life is absolutely controlled by the people of the SE.
Your phone
Your torch light
Your pants/boxers and clothes
Your shoes
Your electricals/electronics
The roof over your head and all materials
Your pots/plates/ spoons/etc
Your plumbing materials
Your laptop
The Korope/Marwa that carry you
Cars/buses and spare parts
Drugs that save you from the die wey you for don die since.
They absolutely sell all to you.

Unfortunately you do not know the state you come from, so you claim Lagos state, which is the commercial capital of the country. Common sense will not let you know that the residents pay taxes that are used to develop the state. Tax you no kuku know wetin e mean.

Your head like carpenter hammer.
You are not even ashamed of yourself. You only sell but can't produce all these products.
Without the high purchasing power of the southwest, you all will run out of business and go broke.

We buy from you so you can make money and feed your family.
If all igbos should relocate their businesses out of Yoruba land, we would take over the importation of our market needs. Thanks to internet.
