I earlier posted the transcript Trump call. He was referring to an investigation by voterga which had found hundreds of thousands of votes that should not have counted for the final Georgia tally.
In other words Trump had a legitimate grievance about the final tally , Raffensberger and the governor refused to act on the findings, instead ordering a recount and declaring that the votes were correct. They leaked the call to Wapo heavily edited to make it look like he was asking him to commit a crime by finding just enough votes for him.
The courts had already declared the case moot, lacking standing or some other technical reason to throw out the case.
Only way then was to have raise alternate electors.. From the Hawaii case, its all legal to send alternate electors. The narrative now is fake electors.
The other was to raise objections on the floor, have the house vote for the president
