Have you tried checking Jiji. Have been seeing clean cars there at reasonable prices. Though you still need to check with your mechanic.

Also, why not try other brands aside Corolla.

Corolla is what is needed....and I think the price increase affect everything, even bicycle..

Like G-wagon You mean there are vehicles not affected by the dollar issue...okay Corolla is what's best suited for the role, based on previous experience...and it's not for ehailing......

Where's that dollar man? Read this update, it's very important. CBN is repaying billions of dollars in cash to banks, there will be excess of dollars next week which will most likely crash the price of dollars a bit. Good morning

Not sustainable.

The BDCs will likely mop up the dollars, hoard it and make it scarce again, then we are all back to square one.

The only solution is to export more than we import and attract foreign investors.

All those traveling offline wey Dem no fit pay but want premium service, and then within town too, they will b pricing rubbish. I just prefer we go online, anything u see at the end if the trip u pay.
But if I carry u to destination and u say "can u take me back on same price?" now u are talking. I will glady run it.
Last week, someone requested from Opic and put Eleko road. App showed somewhere around Abraham Adesanya. I drove to pickup and he wants to carry gear. I asked him where are you going, he say Eleko road close to refinery. I told the man the map is wrong, that where he is going to is way farther away and the price will be significantly different. Cos I no want drama. I suggested we do it offline if his budget is limited, he say how much, I say oga pay 15k make we dey go. He say 15k is too much that he saw 8k to 10k. Even after explaining that what he put on App is different from where he is going and that the money will even be more than 15k if we do it online, bros insisted that it can't be upto 15k. I just smile inside of me and asked him shey u know where u are going to sha. He said yes, he will direct me, d mumu man even suggested we pass sagam/ijebu ode route...if I was a bad boy I would oblige but I have d fear of God... I told him that's long journey. We moved, thank God no traffic, (cos my busstop in that direction is always Orchid if I do ojukokoro na Abraham Adesanya be my limit) 3hrs later, we arrive I end trip App say 23k plus, oga face change. I no even get strength for explanation again...evidence dey look u. If u doubt it, I confirm d trip, he saw it on his app and got a mail. Baba could not say anything again. He transfered my money and I moved.

So why I don't like offline generally is that sometimes the price isn't right and most times it's to odd destinations.

And when you give them offline price using your discretion, they will think you charging them too high and start complaining angry until you send them to go online and they see the price themselves.
The same reason I no too like offline too, cos I hate argument and too much explanation.
Some offlines I do are those riders who don't care about the price and don't want to stress themselves by ordering and waiting for another ride.
my neighbors as well, and referrals, offline comes from them, too.

Much respect, baba.

Almost all concept in life comes with demand and supply. One have to understand the mindset of the person you are dealing with and value of commodity before dealing.

All is in the power of presentation. Most people actually dont care about price, but safety, trust and security. Not saying we don’t have the kaku ones, but the principle is to take your shot, if it works fine and if it doesn’t? Fine.

One of the mistake riders make is to ask for a stop or take off route on indrive. Once he or she ask me what do you want me to add? You’ll hear me saying, no you talk. And they will go like you talk, if it’s not good we don’t have to go. I’ll be like madam, I have problem oo, the money I’m looking for is 2 million, I can mistakenly ask you to pay 2 million or you want to help me subtly. I’ve already create jokes and ease the person mind. If I am expecting 5k, I’ll thro 10k. The haha will enter. Las las we will end it at 6 or 7k. Most times I analyze cost of gas and ask them to do the maths.

Speculation, without doing the economic work.

Nigeria will have to start manufacturing, and stop importation.

Thank you. Bank managers will simply sell to BDC at fixed prices, taking their own cut and leaving a margin on top for the abokis.

Price on the street won't reflect any surplus

Ahhhh...that owing aspect when u become regular customer is Inevitable. One client is still owing me 60k for a 3-day trip to Ondo since 2019. Another thing is some people, once u allow them owe u, that relationship has ended, two things will happen; either they will not call u again meanwhile they will still be doing the trips o or dey will vex and quarel because u demanded for your money.
