Kukutenla:Stop responding to that person, you are wasting your time. Somebody that is arguing subsidy was not provided for by government in 2023 yet posted a link showing subsidy payments from Jan-May. When caught, he shifted goal post to NNPCL paying subsidy. That guy is really slow. Apologies to him. This NBS report is nonsense. It is a sea of contradiction |

Kukutenla:Total imports for Q2 is #5.2tn which #1.2tn of pms is 21% of!. It's just simple stop making things complicated!.

ORIENTATION101:This dude is a dimwit. I'm ashamed to call you a product of Nigerian education. Like, are you just trolling or you're serious right now? Check the part I drew a red cap over. Did you miss that part in the screenshot I posted? Baba you dull. You dull gaan. Chai!! What is this I'm seeing? Do you even understand that subsidy is just a part of the cost of importation borne by the govt per litre. The other part is paid for at the pump. By the time you add everything together, we'll be looking at far over 2.4trn self. You're a total disgrace and an apology to poor education. This is my last response to you. I can't com and degrade my iq. 1 Like 1 Share

smokinloud:I've seen that. And it still does not add up if subsidy alone was 400bn per month as claimed by NNPCL. That implies that petrol is fully subsidised and we're not supposed to pay a kobo at the pump!! |
Re: NBS: Nigeria Recorded N2.2trn Trade Surplus In First Half Of 2023 by Kukutenla: 10:09am On Sep 08, 2023 |

FreeStuffsNG:Not true. If we have over 2 trillion in surplus there is no way naira will be under pressure like it is now. It's either the start is another lie or something. What I know is that something is nothing adding up |

Kukutenla: come here you scumbag you re not kyari yet you are defending his claims about 400b to the extent that you called a reputable Verifiable statistics a lie. Look at how stupid you are. I tried to explained to you that kyari claim was not the year in review. You stick to your feb18 news paper foolishness despite evidence available says we paid 300b for subsidy in Jan 2023. You litterred the whole thread with your smelly saliva arguing back and forth like a drunk imbecille. Now crawl back into the hole you came out from Here is another stupid comment of yours choke on it.at least people can see your foolishness in HD

ORIENTATION101:You're sounding more daft as each minute passes. Between Kyari who is doing the actual importing and NBS who is just cooking figures, who should any sane, rational mind believe? You have introduced a new lie. Show me the evidence that says we paid 300bn subsidy in January. You're as daft as a croaking frog if not worse. Kyari said 3 days before Feb 18. How is that not the year 2023. This is obviously a case of failed education. Well, here is Tinubu your darling daddy saying he saved over a trillion in two months after subsidy removal which roughly translates to 500bn a month. Come and tell me he's reviewing too. slowpoke with the brain of a cockroach.

Kukutenla:Imbecille since NBS and cablenews that put subsidy in 6months at 1.2 and 1.8 trn respectively are lies . MENTALLY DERANGED IDIOT PLS BRING OUT YOUR VERIFIABLE STATISTICS THAT SAYS OTHER WISE OR YOU KEEP SHUT THAT DIRTY HOLE IN YOUR FACE. |
Re: NBS: Nigeria Recorded N2.2trn Trade Surplus In First Half Of 2023 by smokinloud(m): 11:08am On Sep 08, 2023 |
Kukutenla:Tinubu could save up to that in naira because the value of naira had depreciated and #1trn in the Q3 is equivalent to roughly #600bn in the first quarter. There was drop in the amount of pms imported in the second quarter which caused fuel scarcity. Your analysis is based on the 66.5 million litres of pms that NNPCL's Kyari claimed they imported daily in the first quarter which is not the reality in the second quarter... You can fully make a claim when you have the details of pms imported into Nigeria provided. You can't fault NBS data until NNPCL provide the amount of PMS shipped into Nigeria daily from April to June. So I consider NBS valid on this until NNPCL provides the amount of pms imported into Nigeria from April to June. |

Re: NBS: Nigeria Recorded N2.2trn Trade Surplus In First Half Of 2023 by smokinloud(m): 11:21am On Sep 08, 2023 |
Kukutenla:TINUBU IS NOT LYING, YOU JUST BUILD YOUR ARGUMENTS ON ASSUMPTIONS NI. Tinubu could save up to that in naira because the value of naira had depreciated and #1trn in the Q3 is equivalent to roughly #600bn in the first quarter. Re: NBS: Nigeria Recorded N2.2trn Trade Surplus In First Half Of 2023 by Kukutenla: 11:29am On Sep 08, 2023 |
smokinloud:By what metric did you arrive at 1trn in q3 equals 600bn in Q1. That maths can't be correct. Besides, tinubu was talking of two months, June and July and not a whole quarter. Exchange rate went from 460 t0 720. Besides, NNPCL never reported a drop in import. This is the monthly report from January according to NMDPRA January: 62 million litres per day February: 62 million litres per day March: 71.4 million litres per day April: 67.7 million litres per day May: 66.6 million litres per day June: 49.5 million litres per day July: 46.3 million litres per day You can even see March had more fuel consumption. https://www.google.com/amp/s/nairametrics.com/2023/08/14/fuel-imports-to-nigeria-fell-in-may-2023/%3famp=1 |
Re: NBS: Nigeria Recorded N2.2trn Trade Surplus In First Half Of 2023 by smokinloud(m): 11:43am On Sep 08, 2023 |
Kukutenla: I read it and it says Fuel not PMS!. You just translate it to mean PMS because you are emotional ni. |
Re: NBS: Nigeria Recorded N2.2trn Trade Surplus In First Half Of 2023 by smokinloud(m): 11:46am On Sep 08, 2023 |
Kukutenla:The bone of contention here is PMS not Fuel. And #1trn equals roughly $1.4bn which was #644bn in the Q1 according to the 460 exchange rate you provided.

Re: NBS: Nigeria Recorded N2.2trn Trade Surplus In First Half Of 2023 by ReubenE(m): 11:57am On Sep 08, 2023 |
ORIENTATION101:You really do not know anything. You're just being boisterous from the ocean of delusion. If I don't know NNPC is a limited liability company, I will write it as NNPCL? Who did the NNPCL pay the subsidy on behalf of if not the FG and the Nigerian people. Why is the NNPCL claiming over N2 trillion debt from the FG as the amount they've spent for subsidizing PMS. Like I said, you really do not know anything. What's the difference between the FG paying subsidy or the NNPCL paying subsidy on behalf of the FG and the Nigerian people. Subsidy was provided for by the 2023 Appropriation Act until June. I don't even understand what you are arguing especially when you already laid credence to the point with your own screenshots. Is it who paid the subsidy that is your problem. Suffice to say, you are very uncouth too. |
Re: NBS: Nigeria Recorded N2.2trn Trade Surplus In First Half Of 2023 by ReubenE(m): 12:21pm On Sep 08, 2023 |
smokinloud:I don't understand what you mean. The over N2 trillion trade surplus given in the report is for Q1 and Q2, indicating first half of the year which is 6 months. If you mean something else with your comment, draw my attention to that detail. |

Re: NBS: Nigeria Recorded N2.2trn Trade Surplus In First Half Of 2023 by ReubenE(m): 1:08pm On Sep 08, 2023 |
ORIENTATION101:The NNPCL makes subsidy payments from their cash flow, that is, they pay and net off from their fiscal obligations of taxes and royalties they pay to the Federal Government. The balance is the over N2 trillion NNPCL is claiming the government of Nigeria is owing them after all deductions. So is the NNPCL paying the subsidy for itself or they are paying for Nigerians on behalf of the FG. If the NNPCL is making those deductions from the taxes and royalties they pay to the Nigerian State, is it not the FG that is paying same subsidy through another means. Like I said, you are all just noise with a rattling tongue.
