Do you know that Ikwerre People do not exist only in Rivers state? Do you know that just like Umunri, Aro people Ndoki people and other Igbo sub-groups, ikwerre also were involved in such transmigration and have people in other parts of Igboland?

For instance, Eziowelle in Idemmilli north LGA of Anambra, there are five villages namely:
Umuikwelle
Umunnama
Ezinimo
Okpaliko
Ubulu

You can clearly see the first village is umuikwelle (meaning children of/decendants of Ikwelle) Ikwelle is a variant pronunciation of Ikwerre based on Idemmilli dialect. Umuikwelle claim they migrated from the present day river state.

Abatete is another town in Idemmilli North LGA of Anambra state. It has four villages namely:
Nsukwu
Agbaja
Ogbu
Odida

Ogbu the third village is made up six villages namely:
Ogbu Ikwelle
Umulichi
Orofia
Enu Ogbu
Umuebeke
Ireh

You can see clearly that Ogbu Ikwelle is the first village of Ogbu. They also share origin with the present day rivers state.

All I have written are verifiable. There should be many more towns having such in Igboland but these are the ones I researched on. Some people who are hell bent on rewriting Igbo history even claimed it was "Igbo" who settled in the present rivers state and populated it. You have seen that reverse is almost the case. There was transmigration of several Igbo group including the Ikwerres.

History has been banned and distorted to keep Igbos in the dark.

Going by this, Enugu-Ukwu and Enugwu-Agidi people migrated from Enugu to Anambra State grin?

And Ideani in Anambra State must be brothers with Ideato in Imo State?

Most villages in Anambra Central are named after their progenitors. Where there are immigrants, they are more likely than not, subsumed into the Umunna that they live in kinship with. That's what I have seen.

I am open to learning if there are different scenarios. With facts, not insinuations.

I don't want to insult the OP but whoever created this topic is seriously MAD.
Anambra doesn't have any trace of Ikwerre people, in fact, an Average Anambra man who has not been to Rivers State doesn't know what is Ikweree.
We are not brothers with Ikwerre and we have no business together.

We only have few Igala communities.

If you were, you would've have attempted to confirm my research by reading about those places and approaching any native of these towns or better still, pay a visit like I did instead of your armschear assumption.

This is nothing but crass ignorance.
Are you aware there is a class of Ozo title branch called Ikwelle, just like Nze ani and Nze isi. You dont know anything about Anambra nomenclature but you want to talk history.

Anambra has absolutely nothing in common with Ikwerre.

You cant wake up one day and conjure up some nonsense based on similarities of names.

The Ikwelle found in Anambra nomenclature is pronounced differently but I dont expect a cake onye Anambra like you to know that.

Anambra has a style of naming things.
Ora-Oha
Afia-Ahia
Aru-Ahu

Even , Anambra drums sounds different from other
Anambra dances different from others
Anambra sings differently
Anambra cooks differently

Anambra is very unique and this applies to every aspect of our culture and identify.

Ikwelle of Anambra and that of Rivers has absolutely different pronunciation.

I have never came across such thing before or been heard it from any Igbo elder
They told us about Igala which is verified too
In the olden days Awka people located some section of town to Igala people some didn't go back and settled today they mixed with Awka people
Even Imo Awka celebration which is Awka festival is Igala oracle which they brought to Awka people to help them fight war during old days, before it was the Igala people that looks after the oracle for them but now it's been handled by Awka people
Igala help Awka people to conquer many towns during old days and they were given some town to settle instead of going back today we have Igala community

Why are some igbos so headhotted to tie themselves with ikwerres.
We share nothing in common or tie with the igbo.
Because a community in anambra Umuikwelle so that makes them brothers with ikwerres.
Just imagine the madness

There is only one person parroting that nonsense and he is not even from Anambra.

Please, your Ikwerre and our own are pronounced differently....Anambra has nothing in common with you. So, stop generalizing it to Ndigbo because we didn't appoint him to speak for us.

Maybe you have some similarities with Imo and Abia but Anambra is very distinct from Ikwerre people.

So, face the guy who made the claims

I am open to learning as I wrote earlier. If I wasn't, you won't come to my house and beat me, so you shouldn't sweat it. I also am not travelling to Eziowelle or Abacha to confirm this, I'm a busy person, lol.

There are so many parts of Anambra that are not Igbos in originality.

Onitsha people are not Igbos in originality. This is why they call their King "Obi" just like their brothers in Delta where they came from.

Igbos call their Kings "Eze or Igwe"

You can't hear "ofalla" else where in Igbo land except there.

Some parts, their cultures have no relatives to Igbos

And many more...
