Withdrawal Of Cas by femibidy(f): 12:37am On Sep 09, 2023
Good day everyone,
i need someone that have this experience or have someone that have gone through this to advise me on what to do..........i applied to a university of Sunderland in UK and i was given admission apply for my CAS and when for the application of the visa and i was giving the visa
i entered the UK to complete my physical enrollment and the class started and for some reason i did not attend the classes for sometimes which i make it known to one of the school staff through email, i resume after 3weeks and i was told that i have been WITHDRAWN OF MY COURSE, that i should go and reapply for the next intake .
MY QUESTION now is that is it possible for me to reapply for the next intake inside UK since am already in the UK because the school make it known to me that they have inform the home office that the CAS IS NOT WORKING AGAIN, that i have to go and reapply from my home country
if you have an advise on how i can go about it or will i have to come home to reapply ,reapplying from home will cost me more time that is possible i will not be able to meet up with the next intake which is November, it will cost me money too[pof,Visa fee,IHS and so on]
please i need advises if you know who have done or this has happened to before
thank you
femi

Unfortunately, you would have to leave the UK to reapply. But if I may ask, why did you not challenge them with reasons for not attending the classes since you said you notified the school of your impending absence? Did the letter to them approve your absence then?

Did you complete the enrolment and pay your tuition fees?
Re: Withdrawal Of Cas by bigtt76(f): 12:14pm On Sep 09, 2023

see how ia done. You tell them the reason before hand with documents. Is only when they agree and send you a document. Thats when you embark on the suspension of studies. Not afterwards. You have breached your visa conditions. You have to leave UK.

🤭 Why naaa? Lol

My assumption is that she did the right thing to sought for permission before going away and that she had good reasons to be so permitted. In the event that she was officially granted but still got reprimanded, then she deserves a redress 🤷🏿‍♀️

who advised you to stay off school should bear the cost, whatever reason that made you do that should also bear the cost, and if it's insufficient funds, so sorry for that. Every adulthood decision comes with benefits or consequences and you should be ready to face it. Inside application might be rejected because you are not a citizen or on a Stay or on work visa. You are a student in bridge of agreement, that's dicy. You have not completed your studentship purpose so switching to work visa at this moment might be impossible also (they made new rules to that). You just have to leave or you will keep hiding from the system looking for ways to beat the system.

1.Was she granted the permission not to attend lectures by the university?

2. What will stop a student from attending lectures just after arriving in the UK? Pls don't mention finance because it doesn't count.

What was the reason that made you not attend class?
Re: Withdrawal Of Cas by Ishilove: 9:46pm On Sep 09, 2023
Whatever reason you gave for not attending lectures for almost a month after resumption was obviously not valid
Re: Withdrawal Of Cas by femibidy(f): 11:50pm On Sep 09, 2023
my reason for delay in in my country was because my mother was sick and on getting in i had a new that she died which i have to call for the death certificate from home and show it to them

sorry for your loss. But this won’t fly to be honest

Exactly my thoughts too and why I said "If she had submitted good documents to back her claims and if the school approved initially but went on to withdraw that approval" ....but yes you are absolutely correct except for health issues, I see no genuine reason for granting her leave of absence.

You could've filed under extenuating circumstances using mental health due to loss of close family member as your reason and back it up with the death certificate, 10 chances to 1 that this could've been accepted if only absent for 3 weeks and fees fully paid. If fee installments were not paid as when due during the 3 weeks, then it might have led to your withdrawal. My thoughts though.

You should have first informed the University and gotten an official letter from them, excusing you from classes for a certain period of time.

Realistically, you will be heading home.

Three weeks Leave of Absence can be granted by the university if the case is genuine as it fails under exceptional circumstances.

This is part of Sunderland University policy, they owe her duty of care in that regard and should not result in CAS withdrawer.

Is either the case was badly handled or the reason for the leave of absence is questionable

I feel its either of the above you wrote. Cause I know of a friend who lost his mum, the university granted him some time longer than a week, but he only used one week and came back to school as advised by me and the others.

Is it possible to get a school fee refund because going back home to reapply for November intake will not be easy as we all know the process to student visa and November is just in 2months
