@hunne, am planning to travel to SA during Christmas period with my family for Christmas vacation. I have being to SA twice around 2015-2015.

Thanks for the update, I already book the ticket also for Tuesday flight from Lagos to Johannesburg and the problem here is that I have VFS E-visa so am worried if that won’t be an issue because of the review am seeing here about them having difficulty confirming the visa.

This response isn't peculiar to applications from Nigeria alone. Someone in Cameroon got the same response as well.

Even with a reference letter here in Nigeria, they still render bank statements invalid.

Has anyone been able to scale through this challenge? Share your experiences to help please.

If your account statement was downloaded online, you should take it to the bank for physical stamping, irrespective of attaching a reference.

I submitted a hardcopy application at VFS on Friday, and was asked to go to my bank to stamp my statement, even though I attached a reference letter. Mind you, this would be my 8th SA visa (the last one expired five days ago). This people no send you o.

Hello, please I'm applying for a conference visa but I am being asked for a police clearance certificate as a required document.
I don't know why my own case is different.

Other people that have applied for conference visa based on this thread, it was not a requirement for them.

What do you think could be the problem?
Can I abandon that application and start all over again as time isn't on my side to process a visa before the conference date.

I picked my SA Police clearance certificate last week . I got the Nigerian pcc before i traveled in Abuja.

It is simple to get pcc, either you use alagbon or louis edet,abuja.

If you are using Abuja, Ask of Madam Helen at the Forensics department. She will get it done Asap.

It cost 170 rands in SA and can not be done by proxy. You have to be on ground because your finger prints will be collected.

For SA pcc, i applied june and got it just last week.
