Quintessence44:Igbos don't azzlick known criminals, they don't demonize people. They chose you based on competence. You can say otherwise to suit your hatred, they simply don't care after all they are the most economically viable region whilst the north who has had power more than any other region has the poorest people |

Quintessence44:I'm Igbo, so you know. Imagine life without Igbos troubling you in Lagos and other South Western states, criticising the president and being unpatriotic and wanting secession. That's what makes up national life. Truth be told, every tribe in Nigeria has irritating habits that we've come to tolerate in various ways, as much as we can, without making efforts Igbos tolerance is there, forget what you read here, same with Yoruba, Hausa/Fulani, Edo. Allow your fears to go off and you'll see thar some of these things truly are not necessarily important but by actions/reactions, we've gotten this into national life. |

RomanGreen:SO WHY CAN'T YOU SECEDE? Who stopped you? Buhari himself said you are free to return to your ''HOLE IN A CIRCLE'', and declare independence if you so wish! He even BEGGED you people to return to your hole in a circle. So what are 11 million Igbos still doing in the north? 12 million in the west? Depending on other ethnic groups for your daily bread, yet insulting them night and day, and claiming you want to secede from them. SECEDE WITH YOUR FEET AND GO HOME AND STOP DISTURBING PEOPLE. Of course you know you cannot do that, because you know you will all STARVE. YOU ARE THE REAL UNITY BEGGARS. But you are NARCISSISTS so you try to gaslight us by claiming it is WE begging YOU - uninvited homeless riffraff - to be on on our lands. As for the oil you claim to have, we call your reserves a tiny pittance, not even worth 50 million dollars a year. I even read somewhere that LAGOS and ONDO states produce more oil than the South East. All you have are palm kernels. |

ebufa:The independence struggle was a collective effort. Don't try to claim it, you thief. You clearly did whatever you did for you own selfish reasons, because barely 5 years after independence, you executed a bloody coup soaked in tribalism, excluding your own leaders while assassinating those of other regions. The civil war changed the Nigerian narrative and the country has never recovered its equilibrium. Thanks to the Igbo coupists who wrecked the country by murdering elected leaders in cold blood. Inequity and the jaundice you preach is what will break up Nigeria not an Igbo presidencyYou are collective narcissists. Nothing is EVER your fault. It is called Narcissistic Personality Disorder (NPD). |

Quintessence44:Let me educate you a little. The lgbos by gene loves to attain. The fact that lgbos are treated unjustly with power is the reason why their unpatriotism grow daily and the damage is already deep. Naturally, no one will love a system and a nation that hates you and your tribe. The venon you see in the lgbos today is accumulated anger, sense of injustice and neglect etc But once the got the power nobody is leaving, mindset will change and am sure lgbos is not as bad as you think |

I'm a point where I don't give a sh1t about Igbo presidency, it's obvious the fear of other Nigerian tribes (mainly the SW and Northern bloc) is that the emergence of an Igbo presidency will definitely ruffle the "status quo", I've heard most of my friends from the North admit to me honestly that they are not against the idea of an Igbo presidency, they are just wary that an Igbo president who isn't willing to pander to the interest of the North might divide the country, others told me their political elites are yet to forgive the Igbos for the 1966 coup so they can't trust the Igbos with power- I genuinely laughed at both reasons but I respected their opinions however myopic. Today no Northern state is faring better than the SE on any index of HDI and wealth generation/distribution despite being at the helm of power for several decades, there's no middle class in the North today- it's 70% poverty among the ordinary people and 30% stupendous wealth in the hands of their elites like Dangote etc I'm all for conservative politics for Ndigbo, forget Nigeria's national politics which has never benefited the average Nigeria. The conservative politics where we should focus solely on regional politics and electing only leaders who will represent our interest, a politics where we can hold our leaders accountable, we want more leaders like Alex Otti, Umahi etc as our political leaders. |

fx45:If all the south-south produced was bananas, and the north was oil and gas rich, 2 things would happen with you Igbos. 1) You would be pure Nigerian nationalists and reject the thought of secession, and 2) You would hate the south-south people every bit as much as you hate other Nigerians. |

Do you know one small boy in a tech firm in Yaba can make more in a week than the entire Alaba market in a year? Was it not one kid tech wizard who formed a startup in Lagos that was bought by US tech giant Stripe for 200 million dollars cash? Sit there selling fake Chinese spare parts and thinking you're controlling the economy. Ode. |

Okwyjesus:Spare me that GARBAGE. Igbos suffer from COLLECTIVE NARCISSISM. They've been like this from the beginning. They started the whole problem of Nigeria with that ethnically skewed bloody coup of 1966. Totally uncalled for, and disgusting act. How can you have soldiers storming elected civilian leaders' houses at night and shooting them dead? Why? Why kill Tafawa Balewa, the gentlemanly, urbane Prime Minister, simply because he was a Hausa man? Slaughtered the Sardauna of Sokoto, a man that was the religious leader of the entire north! Just went to his house and shot him. Why? And then after Brigadier-General Aguiyi Ironsi got to power, he refused to try the coup plotters. He arrested a couple of them and freed them later by trickery, taking Nigerians for fools. A whole 7 months of national pleading with him to charge the coup plotters who had assassinated the Prime Minister and other top leaders, was ignored by Ironsi. Can you see the gross arrogance the Igbos had? They took Nigerians for nothing. That was when the counter-coup by northern officers happened. Ironsi was killed, and the massacre of Igbos in the north started, following which they ran back to the East, claiming that Nigeria hates them, and declaring Biafra, annexing precious non-Igbo Nigerian oil and gas rich territories to the south-south. OF COURSE NIGERIA WOULD GO TO WAR TO STOP YOU BASTARDS. Who the flying fck do you think you are? |

Op the right questions you should be asking yourself is why are Nigerians scared of follow Nigerians especially people from your tribe? Why should a fellow Nigerian says he's brother can never be the president? Is that not wickedness? One who don't want he's brother to be president is a very dangerous person, If such person is in power he/she will create policies to destroy the eastern region. We complain about racism, but the wicked tribalism being practiced in Nigeria is just too archaic and senseless. You guys should continue with your wickedness, everyone is taking note. I hope other tribes sees the one who vows that Igbos will never be president. They should be careful when dealing with such hateful bigoted tribe. |
| Re: Why I Am SCARED Of An Igbo Presidency by Quintessence44(op): 12:49am On Sep 12, 2023 |
9japride:It is not wickedness to say that out of 300 ethnic groups in NigerIa, ONE group alone accounts for 98% of online attacks against Nigeria, and that THAT group should not be producing a Nigerian president anytime soon because it is highly risky to do so. Nothing wicked about that. It is only common sense. If you see someone that daily passes your compound, and rains curses on your family, would you agree if he comes one day demanding you let him take your child for a walk? |

Quintessence44: When you keep marginalizing the greatest tribe in the country and you expect them to act like mumu? Things don't work like that. Why are you all so scared about the Igbos having their country? The problem you all have with the Igbos is that they are too wise to be fooled or subdue by your mischief. You expect them to act like those tribes from middle belts that can't even speak their minds when they are being attacked by barbarians in this modern era. The senseless killings happening in the country, is what happened in other regions before Christ came to this world. And they all have evolved into more sensible humans. Respect is earned. Keep voting misfits and expect the country to be like developed countries. Why do you want to remain in a country with people you assumed that don't like you? Oil/gas will not allow you guys dare let the Igbos go. Maybe the way Buhari treated the south east was a lovely one. |

Quintessence44: Don't act like you don't understand my message. The great Igbo tribe will keep waxing strong. The more they are being sideline, the more they put in energy to succeed knowing fully well they live amongst hateful and envious beings. Why can't nairaland rest with Igbo matter? Please leave the Igbos alone. The Igbos are too advanced to be sideline. I hate seeing senseless topics concerning the Igbos here in nairaland. Talk about your tribe and it's contribution to national unity. Everything about a black man is how to pepper their brother. Even in election, their sole aim is for the defeated party members to suffer. |

Quintessence44:First of all I didn’t lie but just stated the obvious figurative not the literal as you assimilated. If you are conversant with History you’ll understand my point. After the 66/70 war, Biara died. Fast forward to now, anytime an average Igbo man is contesting your likes will be raising voice pointing fingers on them like you did which I don’t blame you because you’re on the other side of the coin. The bitter truth is if they agitated for independence and were labeled terrorist is a mind control by Nigerian government. These people want to go, let them go, they want memorandum; let them have it. Enough is enough. Forget the names the called Nigeria. You and I will agree that our unity in this country is under threat that is why many things are going sideways which I why I wouldn’t mind given my independence also “Middle belter” I advocate for peace and Nation building but when all effort are thwarted by religious inclinations and lack of tolerance then is better we divide in to 5. There are many countries today who agitated without half of a state population in Nigeria and mineral deposits yet they went separate ways. No one should force us to live together when all factors are against unity. That’s my point
